Edinburgh was our last stop on our visit to Scotland. We arrived earlier than we had expected but Bill and Maggie made sure we were able to access our room. Our room was on the first floor which was perfect for a senior couple. We had a tour scheduled the next day that required us to leave before the regularly... More

Historic beautifully restored and upgraded house with warm welcome. Excellent location, very comfortable beds and pillows in understatedly elegant rooms; delicious and generous breakfast (thank you, Billy!) with Gerry attending with grace and humor to every need and wish from calling taxis to providing directions, excellent local restaurant recommendations; to storing luggage during our Highland excursion and sharing history and... I needed accommodation for my son who in unable to get to his Edinburgh College on time by Public transport one morning. Received a delightful reply offering accommodation the following night. I rang up with a few questions and William could not have been more helpful. I dropped my sons bag to save him taking it to College, WOW when... More

We had a very nice room ( 4 beds) ; It was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The 2 guys who run the guesthouse are very nice and helpful. The house is close to the center which you can reach easily with bus. Within 20 minutes you can walk from ceter to the guesthuse. Perfect.

We had two double rooms for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Breakfasts were excellent and service superb. Staff were always very helpful in making recommendations and ordering taxis. Rooms were up to date and clean. We would definitely return. Nicely located for touring.

Impeccably clean, run with great efficiency, delicious breakfast, great location to catch a bus or walk to city centre and to walk to and up Arthur's seat. Our three children aged between 10 and 12 were welcomed and catered for too. At last somewhere in the UK that still knows the meaning of service, hurrah!

Well appointed, well run and very conveniently located. Helpful with planning your day with expert tips for wherever you are going. Great breakfast and excellent advice for dining out. All good and no negatives at all. Among the very best.

On a cul-de-sac, this B&B was less than a block to a bus route into downtown (1.6 GBP per head, the bus system is very good BTW). Very convenient location (and walkable to town really as we did several times) when we were there for the August festivals (which are huge). B&B was very nice, well maintained, and our room... More

I was having the hardest time finding a decent hotel/B&B in Edinburgh during festival season for under 200 pounds a night. I came across this B&B in Rick Steve’s book. It was much cheaper than all the hotels in Old Town and New Town. It was a 20 minute walk to Old Town or a quick bus ride (stop right... More
