This is a long overdue review!! My husband and I stayed at Wallace's art house for part of our honeymoon, for four nights. It was our first stop on our Scotland honeymoon, and it was a great, and welcoming introduction to Edinburgh and Leith. Wallace is such a friendly host, with great stories and recommendations. I love the attention to...

Hey there, how generous of you to write such kind words of my place. I am sure they will help me get more guests - which I am eager to have as this period is a quiet one for the Arthouse!! I hope LIFE is going well for you these days, love, Wallace xxxx

Wallace was a very generous host. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet with a good spacious white shower ensuite. The accommodation was in the Leith area, with excellent buses going into the city, taking about 7 minutes. There were good restaurants close to the regenerated Commercial Road area within walking distance of Wallace's B & B. Breakfast was...

I stayed here for 4 nights and it was a quirky and fun Bohemian type of experience. Wallace runs his B&B efficiently and immaculately and stays to have breakfast with you and chat about a variety of subjects including the local area. The B&B decor is mostly white which is calming and the rooms are full of artifacts and art...

That was our first B&B experience and couldn't be better. Wallace is a wonderful chap, good humor and always with a smart remark. Received us with a lovely smile and a tasty cup of tea. The house is very well decorated, rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was like being in home, delicious and full of histories and memories. More...

I completely concur with the previous reviewer. Wallace's B&B is tastefully decorated, the artefacts, artwork and books are in keeping with Wallace's wonderful character, and not pretentious. The room are large and clean. Wi-Fi is available. Breakfast is more than ample. To quote the previous reviewer, as he captured it so well, "A memorable stay in an elegant building owned...

I am slightly bamboozled as to where the preceding reviewers actually stayed because it could surely not have been the same place.?... We had the pleasure of staying at Wallace's wonderful B&B filled with artefacts, paintings and a truly wonderful collection of books. The large rooms were spotless and the ever amenable Wallace left us plates of sweets & little...

Despite Wallace's friendlyness, it's not anymore a great place to stay. one can feel Wallace is tired. The room isn't that clean (dust, old carpets), the shower need to be renovated. Breakfast was croissants, bread, scones frome the day before, and fruit salad. no Scottisch breakfast. As for advices, Wallace said we could park for free in his area, but...

I am so sorry that you were unhappy here. I did ask if you had any worries but you did not tell me of these. Of course I had to buy my baked goods the day before as it is too early in the morning to find the places where i shop to be open. I serve things as freshly...

You can tell Wallace loves meeting people and making them feel at home. The room we had was clean and comfortable and had everything we required. We didn't spend much time in the accommodation as had busy plans out and about in town but I can tell should we have had more time Wallace would have welcomed us round his...

I've stayed here often and it's almost a home from home now. Wallace is the most generous and welcoming of hosts... He has created a fantastically elegant and contemporary retreat within this splendid Leith Landmark building. Full of quirky design details... Wonderful contemporary artworks ( The house doubles as a Gallery and exhibition space, so there is always something new...
