Our stay at Eden Locke was exceptional. The staff were so friendly and helpful and from our check in made us feel at home. The accommodations are beautiful with very modern features. The location couldn't be better - it's close to sightseeing, great restaurants and shopping. This truly is a gem and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Edinburgh.

Couldn’t fault it, we loved our stay at Eden Lock. Fabulous staff and great communication. Our apt had everything needed and very clean. Lovely rooms. There is a weatherspoons literally over the road and it’s central for princess street and walking for trains

Was very impressed with the Hotel and facilities on offer. Good size and in a nice quiet location. Very spacious and liked that it included fridge and small freezer, washing machine with drier included. Also included Iron along with ironing table. Cutlery also included. Good size shower area and comfy bed. Plenty sitting available. Staff were also friendly. Would recommend Hotel.

I'm sold on the title and concept. This place is everything, hidden in plain sight. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it, but that would be unfair. Comfortable clean and hassle free apartment. In room washing machine. Would be warm in summer. Close to everything but still in a quiet location. Plenty of nearby food and drink options. Best restaurants, Dishoom, Noto, Locanda De Gusti, Ting Thai Caravan, White Horse, Scran and Scully, Cafe Royal and many more. Dishoom does an amazing breakfast.

I've stayed in plenty of hotels and this one is right up there as a very memorable experience for all the right reasons. Firstly, the location was great, right on George Street, Edinburgh. Plenty of retail shops, cafes, bars and restaurants located nearby. I was travelling solo and felt very safe in this location. The Good: - Check it with super smooth, quick and friendly - The accommodation has a cafe/bar in the lobby which makes it easy to grab a quick coffee and snack before you head out for the day or if you're retiring for the afternoon in your room - The room was amazing, super roomy and with beautiful modern interiors. I had been travelling for a few weeks and staying in small hotel rooms so being greeted by a lounge, kitchen with all the appliances and large bathroom was just pure heaven! - The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a delicious breakfast, quick lunch or wholesome dinner! - Wifi was strong ... just how we like it - The bathroom had under floor heating which was just a delight, especially with how cold it was when I was visiting Edinburgh. It also came in handy when drying off clothing that had gotten wet, the perfect drying room! - The bed was super comfy, with plenty of pillows to pick from to suit my head. - What I LOVED most was the noise machine in the bedroom. I always play white noise at night to help me sleep, so to see a mini machine in the bedroom was a real surprise and made me so happy. You could pick from rain, thunderstorm, white noise, and other dull noises to help you drift off to sleep. Pretty sure I went with the thunderstorm to match the Edinburgh weather I was experiencing during the day ;) never seen that in a hotel stay before, and loved it! The only downside: - My room was located right near the main door that all guests use to access their own rooms, so whenever someone would go through it you could hear the door shut and it would result in my door rattling with the pressure of the door shutting. It was a little annoying to being but I got used to it pretty quickly. The noise machine in the bedroom helped block the noise out at night time. As you can see overall, I had a great stay, and would definitely return. I'm keen to check out their other properties in the UK and Europe. Just wish they had a place in Australia :)…

First of all, it's great to read that you felt safe here at Eden as a solo traveller and that you had such an amazing experience right from the start, with a quick and easy check in. We've really tried to turn Eden into a sort of home away from home for all of our guests, so all of the elements that you noticed are absolutely a part of that: from our fully-equipped kitchens, to the comfy bedding, the (strong!) private wi-fi and the white noise machine! I'm so happy to read that you loved it so much :) We believe it's all about the little touches - that's how a great home comes together, after all :) And yes, we do have under-floor heating in the bathroom! It really does make a difference - it's very easy to get your clothes wet in Edinburgh with its absolutely unpredictable weather :) It's also great that you enjoyed the thought and precision that went into designing our beautiful interiors (it's all the work of an amazing New York-based practice, their attention to detail is truly impressive!), as well as Mayvn Cafe: we're so happy to work with them, they're not just an amazing bunch of people who are always ready to offer great recommendations to our guests, but their coffee is truly some of the best in Edinburgh ... if not the best!! It is unfortunate, though, that you were disturbed by some of the noise from within the building - next time, make sure to reach out to us ahead of your stay and we'll do our best to choose a room for you that is away from the main corridor doors! A really great location in the heart of Edinburgh so you can walk everywhere without much trouble at all. The cafe is super cool and hip with lots of different people chatting, meeting and working. The staff were also very pleasant and went out of their way when you asked them to do things. Would definitely recommend and would totally stay here again.
