The rooms and lobby are stunning. However unfortunately you could hear every guest who walked or talked outside the room - it was so loud and kept us up throughout the night and first thing in the morning. I think this was due to no carpets/gaps around the door.

Super comfortable and convenient hotel with great proximity to old town and great restaurants and shops right downstairs. Lovely breakfast and staff. Couldn’t ask for more. Beds a tad hard for my liking but slept well anyhow. Quirky path to our room which turned our fun. Will return!

This apartment hotel is both luxurious and spacious with an excellent location, just steps from all the action in Edinburgh, and the best restaurants also. Excellent quality amenities and luxurious style apartments, with 24 hour front desk.We loved it here so much, we rebooked to stay another 3 nights. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a spacious apartment with all the facilities of a 5 star hotel

We loved staying in unit 604 at the Cheval Grand. It is located in a historic building on beautiful St. Andrews Square. The airport tram was right outside the front door. The building is beautiful and beautifully restored. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious served on the 4th floor in the former men’s club. Bar service was in there in the evening. The apartment had a lovely kitchen, washer dryer. The beds were lovely. We will be back!

Excellent accommodation, would book again. Beautiful facility, having a washer/dryer was a big plus, also the kitchen. The room got warm at night even with the heat off. Otherwise sleep quality would be 5 stars.

Location good for tourist attractions and transport. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the kitchette was fully equipped. I have recommended The Edinburgh Grand to family and I will book again next time I am in Edinburgh.

The Cheval Grand is a stunning building. Our room was beautifully decorated with every amenity you could require for a comfortable stay. The roll top bath was beautiful. The staff are warm and welcoming and the location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh and seconds from the tram stop if travelling back to the airport.

Clean, comfy room, delightful staff, great location at last stop of airport tram and next to Waverly train station. Breakfast was tasty, good cocktails from the bar. The reception team were exceptional. Fully equipped apartment if you chose not to use the multiple dining options nearby.

Husband and I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. The spec is high and we enjoyed having the flexibility of being able to dine in if we wanted. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give full marks is because the bedroom was very tight for space even though it was only a double bed and not king size. Also, there is only a rain shower head in the shower but not shower cap provided for anyone not wanting to wash there hair every day.
