I booked a week long room for my mother with Elaine whilst she was visiting Edinburgh. The room was huge, beautifully decorated, had a wonderful view, and according to my mum "a lovely bed with the most comfortable pillows she had ever slept on". The breakfasts were exceptional and the service was very good. Elaine was extremely helpful throughout the...

We stayed for 4 nights in February. Everything was simply perfect and there was nothing we could fault - and I'm hard to please! Super comfy bed, lovely bed linen, fluffy towels, the best porridge ever, yummy lemon curd and raspberry jam (which tasted homemade). Elaine was a super host, helpful but not over powering. We have recommended you to...

My first visit with two friends who had discovered Elaine's lovely house before. Elaine could not be more helpful and charming. I had an elegant, airy and spacious room and a fabulous bathroom - loved the thick white towels. A very generous and delicious breakfast. Can't wait to return!

We visited 2HC about a year and a half ago and couldn't wait to return. Elaine and Brian run one of the best B&B's we have stayed in and they continue to deliver on quality, comfort and charm by the wheelbarrow full. As we said before, why go to a big fancy pants hotel when you can go here?

Stayed here for 2 nights over the Christmas period, we were in Edinburgh to visit family. We had a huge room on the first floor and our friend a smaller but still large room on the second floor. Both rooms were beautiful, very comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Everything you could want for a comfortable stay. It was very quiet...

Beautifully presented and pristine grand house, with huge rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent too. Elaine is a particularly warm and thoughtful host and we felt very welcome. The house is a calm place despite being on a busy road, and the shutters block out the traffic noise at night. We would certainly return if we come back to...

The whole house is beautifully presented - warm, neutral luxe styling, with great attention to detail. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, with gorgeously crisp linen. Elaine had sweetly warmed it with a hot water bottle too!. The bathroom was beautifully presented - stylish, immaculate and with lovely handmade soap and big soft towels....

Just the most perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. A beautiful, welcoming, comfortable, place that's part of the memories of a wonderful visit with friends. Elaine was so generous and welcoming. Her place is stunningly beautiful - our huge elegant bedrooms were immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. Breakfast - Scottish smoked Salmon, fruit, granola, delicious breads -...
