I booked a twin room but was upgraded to a double room with a king-sized bed and an independent bathroom for free. The bed room is pretty, spacious and clean, and the dinning room offers hearty light and cooked breakfast. The house owner John is very nice and considerate; he even helped heat my oily left food at a very late...

Clean, Calm, Comfortable and very importantly - Central. A short walk from Dundas Street and the "heart" of the City. We enjoyed our stay on a stormy windy rainy weekend, and were glad to retreat back from the weather to our warm and comfortable room.

We stayed 2 nights in Edinburgh last weekend and were looked after very well at this excellent B&B. 10 minutes walk from the trams and the town centre, plenty of nice restaurants around and a great host. The room was great and the breakfast was very good. Great advice on the local area from John and no issues at all....

Excellent set-up. The room was a good size, warm, well lit, very comfortable and clean. (The shower temperature could have been hotter, but this is the only quibble I can think of.) Things were thoughtfully prepared to make us feel at home. We could really feel relaxed here. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the selection of home-made muffins,...

My husband and I have spent four nights in this friendly B&B last september 2015. John receveid us like family, and was attentive all that we could need. They have a concept of life that we share, so it´s great respect for nature and environmental care that show. The room and bath inside are perfectly treated, wifi in the room...

Truly excellent stay. John is an exceptional host. He accommodated our early arrival and welcomed us with a cup of tea after a somewhat challenging drive from the airport adjusting to the left side of the road in Edinburgh rush hour traffic. The room was large and well-appointed, with good heat, ventilation, plenty of hot water and nice bonuses like...

McCrae's Bed and Breakfast is a family-run eco-friendly, organic guest house, conveniently located in Edinburgh's historic New Town, only a 10 minute walk to the City Centre.
