As someone who lived in Edinburgh for many years I know how expensive city centre hotels there can be and how difficult it can be to drive in the city centre and park. So we decided to look at hotels away from the centre with...More
The hotel is new and not far away from the city centre. The rates are usually cheap so the hotel is good value for money. IMPORTANT: Stay in the first or second floors, because the ground floor is smelly (being close to the kitchen) and...More

Stayed here for 2 nights as a base for the city centre and Xmas markets. Can't fault the place, the location is excellent, opposite Cameron toll shopping centre and only ten minutes by bus to Princes Street, bus stops are right outside and run approx...More
Stayed here a few times and it's been a year since my last visit. Happy to report it is still an excellent Travelodge. You know what to expect - rooms are a bit spartan but clean and very comfy beds. Could really do with drawers...More

We arrived late in the day when we got there. There were no spaces but the long bus/coach space was free and the couple in front of us asked the hotel if they could park there and they said yes. Luckily someone else left whilst we were waiting so we managed to get a space. But the hotel did recommend a residential road nearby that we could have parked in for free which, after going for a walk a little later, we did pass it and would have been happy to leave our car there. A tip - once you've found a parking space at the hotels car park LEAVE YOUR CAR THERE!! We walked into Edinburgh town centre (20 mins) but you can get the bus outside the hotel. If you take your coat then 1) you'll lose your space and 2) parking in Edinburgh is expensive. Have fun!
