Brilliant price, brilliant location. Two minutes walk to Omni Centre/Edinburgh Playhouse. Very central for all other tourist attractions. Helpful staff. Very clean. Some traffic noise from roadside room but you are in the middle of a busy city.
Clean, comfortable & quiet. Short walk from Waverley railway station
Plenty cafes/restaurants nearby for breakfast ( as no cafe in hotel).
Usually good price for location. Staff helpful. No frills but great for seeing central Edinburgh
As expected no issues does the job , clean , tidy , comfortable
Great location to Waverley station
Very friendly reception staff
My biggest gripe is the takeaway breakfast, hideous , had first day , remaining mornings bought on route , although had paid
The hotel has the advantage of being very centrally locted in the heart of Edinburgh, only a short two-minute walk from the central Waverley Rail Station. The room was very clean and presentable, and the staff very helpfull.

Broughton & Calton

Travelodge Edinburgh Central Waterloo Place Hotel Scotland
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything but overt along bustling epicentre Broughton Street; even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The
top of Leith Walk is more ragged. This major thoroughfare boasts a famously gritty gay club, as well as a strip of good Indian restaurants. Regal Georgian and Victorian townhouses preside over largely deserted streets in Calton, where only the occasional restaurant or hotel brings much life. Even so, a steady trickle of idlers and picnickers pass by to climb Calton Hill for its wide-open lawns, wonderful city views, and curious monuments – an Athenian-style temple among them.

The website promotes luggage storage facility but from personal experience it failed! We asked to leave 1 small cabin sized case for 2 hours as we checked out and wanted to walk around the city. "No room" was the response as the area was full (the area is a very small space in an office behind reception) so I doubt that storage for your requirements would be available. Hope this helps!
