This hotel is very central to all the tourist attractions /sights. The staff where excellent from check in, housing keeping and breakfast, they made the stay perfect! The room was very modern, clean and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and we both had two nights of good sleep. The breakfast food was warm and there was plenty of choice....

We stayed here for several nights in a king room that was very spacious and comfortable. One of the best hotels we stayed at on our U.K. trip. The hotel was central to attractions, shopping, and restaurants. We booked the bed and breakfast deal and the variety of breakfast options was amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We recently spent four nights at the Radisson Blu Edinburgh and were very impressed with the location, service and facilities. The hotel staff were exceptional in their attention to detail and customer service. Great base for exploring the Castle, Holyrood House, Princes Street and Royal Mile. The restaurant food was superb, so we ate there each evening. What more could...

We booked a family room which provided good space, a fridge with complimentary water and tea, coffee and hot chocolate (which our son appreciated). The lady in reservations was very helpful and her being so helpful meant we confirmed our booking. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The concierge was excellent and informative. We were sorry not to be...

Our rating would be 'good' a solid 3.5 out of 5 but Trip Advisor does not allow for this. We stayed for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. Upon checking in we were ignored by one receptionist and had to wait for the other receptionist where she tried to sell us an upgrade to a Business room "with a...

Nice hotel with a well-appointed bedroom. Clean and well designed. Found it quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. Good shower. Would recommend. Had breakfast in a cafe just across from the hotel but enjoyed a very nice lunch at the hotel itself.

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
