This is not the first time I have posted a review of the hotel, and I am struggling to find anything new to say. Prestonfield is very peaceful and conformable, Service and Scots hospitality are unparalleled. It's a real treat once in a while.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days after we got married off site in early May. We stayed in the Allan Ramsay suite which exceeded our expectations. All the staff were incredibly attentive and we enjoyed afternoon tea with family, a lovely evening meal at Rhubarb and some incredible suite- service breakfasts! We also got to take advantage of the neighborhood coronation afternoon party. Would recommend Prestonfield to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or treat themselves! It really does feel like you are out of the city due to the spacious and lush grounds.

Good service overall and always made to feel welcome. The breakfast buffet has gone which is a pity. The menu on offer is good and the only aspect which needs to be sharpened up is sorting the cereal/continental course out. But an enjoyable and relaxing stay!

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the staff, the food, the rooms, the ambiance, everything! I loved staying here and will most definitely be returning. Most importantly, the staff were truly fantastic, they were kind, helpful, and took care of every request. I really cannot say enough good things about how well I was treated. I chose this hotel specifically because of its historical relevance and the exquisite interior design, and it did not disappoint. The many rooms were inviting and cozy, with little nooks to read, have tea, or simply relax. A could have stayed in the hotel all day and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank-you so much to Prestonfield for such a lovely visit!

Outstanding lunch in a magnificent setting. The service by all members of staff was impeccable. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks to enjoy their Coronation Afternoon Tea. The house and grounds have stunning views of Arthur Seat. Thank you.

We had a superb stay at Prestonfield. The building, decor and gardens are beautiful and in a brilliant location. However, it was the staff that made that special difference. They were constantly smiling and friendly but everything was done to a very high level of service. Just the right balance. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I have just spent two nights staying at the Prestonfield while visiting Edinburgh for the week. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel really welcome and comfortable. The house itself is unlike any other place we have ever stayed. The history in the house is everywhere along with the most amazing design and decor. We stayed for two nights in the owners suite and it's completely unique. It felt like staying in your own stately home. Everything you could want is catered for. The grounds around the house are also beautiful and well worth an explore. The staff are happy to detail the history of the location and to help out however they can. The breakfast and the food at the hotel is also brilliant. We didn't have a meal in the renowned Rhubarb restaurant but will definitely do so next time we visit. After two nights of utter luxury we felt so relaxed. We cannot wait to come back again in the future.

Fourth time staying and wonderful as ever. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a delight and we enjoyed being able to relax with the papers in the grounds. We will be back soon! P.s thank you again for finding our lost sunglasses!
