Stayed with a friend to enjoy Bruce Springsteen concert at Murrayfield. Check in was a breeze and kudos to the lovely chap on reception. Firstly allowed us to store passports in the hotel safe and then patiently answered our questions on transport options, which were spot on. Next day, after a very comfortable night's sleep, breakfast was more than adequate with lovely touches of take away coffee cups and bags for sandwiches. On checking out the same lovely chap was back on reception, asked if we had enjoyed the concert and again, patiently answered more of our questions on bus tours around Edinburgh. Fantastic stay & service. If ever I find myself in Edinburgh again I would definitely return.

This place really didn’t deserve a 2 but location is everything. First, paying for parking is ridiculous and expensive. Then our room was weird— if you have 3 wives and 14 children, it might work but it was on a corner, had a bed built on a couch and a foldout couch. No dressers or place to put clothes. Dinner was horrid. Just as inedible as breakfast buffet so pack snacks. We moved from the weird room (pictured) to a regular room because key card did not work. In both rooms, carpets needed to be vacuumed— little fur balls on floor. This place rips off folks needing a spot to get on the planes…May the karma bus strike them hard.

OK, price driven by location. Room was small and the bathroom did not smell great so suggest a deep clean needed. No outside space. Booked a double room which is a very different size/standard to the room I stayed in last night in the same hotel chain. Cleaning of items was not great as you can see from the remote control. Corridor was busy as I was put in the room closest to reception- wonder if that is because I was traveling solo.

On arrival, reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Corridor on way to room did not look like it had been hoovered. Bedroom was a good size and well equpped. However, it was clear the room had not been dusted, or hoovered. The restaurant and bar staff were pleasant and we enjoyed a decent meal in the restaurant. Menu was a tad pricey but probably no more expensive than other airport hotels. Shuttle bus to the terminal was available for a small fee which was convenient. We feel this hotel could be great, if more attention was paid to cleanliness. It has put us off booking again and sadly we would not recommend.

Great choice if you want a simple start to your departure day at EDI. Took the tram to the airport terminus and walked less than 30 minutes to reach the Inn. Easy check in, very nice room and bathroom with large shower. To my surprise not only was there a restaurant onsite serving dinner but also breakfast was available from 4:00. The sweet potato and chickpea curry with basmati rice and mango chutney was far tastier than expected and breakfast options at 6:00 were vast. The shuttle bus ride is at most 10 minutes to the airport. The staff were warm and helpful and are an asset to the establishment

Spacious room, comfortable bed, early breakfast and very convenient to airport. What more can you want? The staff was very friendly and accommodating as there was a slight hiccup in our booking. But they made it as right as they could under the conditions.

Staff are excellent, cheerful and attentive. Bar has a selection of food served 24hrs so if your flight gets in late you can still grab a toastie or a pizza. In the room the TV is a good size, bathrooms look like they have recently been renovated and look nice and clean. Good water pressure in the shower and if you forget any toiletries they have a complimentary selection at reception. Big down side for us was the bed. Really uncomfortable, it dipped in the middle meaning that you sleep on a significant angle. Really needs replacing as very uncomfortable and woke up with back pain.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn EDI one night May 1st, it was trouble from the start, and a reception team who don’t know customer service, they couldn't find my booking and said it had been canceled. So they offered a room, but we found out a bit later the lock card wouldn’t work, and so we had another set made and that wouldn’t work. They said they were going to fix the problem, but it never got fixed with a machine they said they had. So you had to ask them to come down every time from the reception, to open the door if you went out, or have to wait for them most times for them to come down . The reception staff were not very nice or helpful, as I told them I wanted to cancel and the lady manager said I would lose my money if I did. I asked for HER NAME, AND REFUSED TO GIVE IT, when I asked. She finally went in the room we paid for, and it was freezing, and put the heating on she offered 50% off the price for night to help fix the problems we had experienced. By this time it was too late to go elsewhere else & so agreed to stayed the night, as my wife has medical problems and cant stand the cold. In the morning we were late getting up and short on time for our flight, so a different Manager (male) handed the invoice to me when I asked for it. But found it was not 50% off like the lady manager had said it would be, for our troubles. There was no time to argue again. as the shuttle arrived, the lady Manager did not appear, as I asked for her, so we were left with the games they play & all I can say what a dishonest bunch at the reception, and do not tell the truth. Toilets in the reception area were disgusting and clogged up. Worst experience ever at staying at hotel in 40 years and they obviously don’t care or know what truth means. Another game they play they refuse to give you your invoice in advance or even just to look at, even if clear of having any extras. They refuse to give you a call in the morning, and we nearly overslept and missing the shuttle to the airport for the correct time for ight. Never had an experience like this ever, it was something like out of FAULTY TOWERS

This hotel is fantastic. From check in to the restaurant, to the bar, the service is exceptional. There is no ask too much for the staff here, they’re friendly, accommodating and polite. The rooms are extremely clean, I’m just grateful I got to stay in this hotel. If anyone I know is staying near Edinburgh airport I will recommend this hotel to them.

Stayed for 2 nights in April. Parking cost £10 per night. My room was mainly clean, but the mattress was extremely soft and thin, and I did not sleep well on either night. Wherever you sat on the bed, it sank. It was awful 😖. Room 029 was an odd room that you accessed by going through the dining room into a small space that housed 3 rooms🤷‍♀️. After being out all day, I came back to find my room had not been serviced. After reporting this, a very apologetic housekeeper bought me fresh towels. Dining The bar was poorly stocked. No soda; no lemonade; and the only fruit juice available were tiny bottles of Swhepps. Breakfast - was complimentary and adequate with very odd tasting orange juice. The dining room floor was always littered with food 😩. Evening Meals - very limited choices but edible. In general, the hotel is scruffy in places and lacks attention to detail. The staff I came across were friendly and helpful. The hotel does provide a shuttle to the airport at £4.00 per person. I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel, and as a Silver Elite IHG member, this hotel did not reflect IHG's normal standards. I certainly would not use this hotel again.
