Started off with a very noisy room at front of hotel and a bad smell of drains. After no sleep we were moved to a different room which we couldn’t fault. Hotel is in a fantastic location. Close to everything and couldn’t fault the staff all very helpful

We stayed for 4 nights in May 2023. Pros: Great location. 1/2 block from where tram drops off for St. Andrews, 1 1/2 blocks from bus station, across the street from train station. 1/2 mile from Royal mile. 2-3 blocks from a Sainsbury and Marks and Spenser grocery store. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Rain shower and hand held shower. Lighted magnifying mirror in bathroom. Heated towel rack. Breakfast has good selection or else can order from menu including full Scottish breakfast. Room okay size with 2 chairs and a desk. Good size towels and thick. Cons: Has a fridge that works but was not leveled so hard to open door. No wash cloths Had to keep room key in a slot to keep power on. Thermostat hard to figure out. Can either do air conditioning or heat but not set a temperature. Temperature about 4 degrees off from reality. Shower leaked into room below so maintenance came. Elevator room level light not working. Dim in the room, could use more lights. Expensive. Have to make reservations for breakfast. On last day couldn’t get reservations before we had to leave for a train even though breakfast was included with room. Desk staff could not explain thermostat or much about the area. Certain rooms there are no lifts to them…be sure to specify you don’t want them.

Great location within walking distance to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, across the street from the Waverly Train Station, and down the road from the Museum. Rooms are renovated but with retained historical character. The dining room is elegant, with great breakfast and dinner options.

We have just returned from having a wonderful four night stay away at this hotel celebrating my husbands birthday , our first time to Edinburgh . The hotel is lovely, rooms very comfortable, we had one overlooking the city which was lovely to watch the world go by, however could be quite noisy during the night with delivery lorries early in the morning , so if you wanted it very quiet the front of hotel may not be for you. I had telephoned the hotel prior to arrival to say it was my husband’s birthday, they offered a birthday package at a very small cost , and room was decorated with balloons and had chocolates with happy birthday , lovely touch . The hotel is right in the centre of Princes Street, so close to all the main attractions which was perfect . We also did a bus tour which was great and stopped at the Royal Yacht Brittania , well worth a trip. We were on a bed and breakfast stay, and have to say the breakfast was superb ! Everything you could think of from fresh juices , fresh coffee , fresh fruits, delicious pastries, which you helped yourself too, and staff took your order for the cooked breakfast items which was cooked fresh , anything from traditional cooked Scottish breakfast, to eggs Benedict, or eggs on toast etc, so much choice you could not fault it. We didn’t have evening meal at the hotel , however it seemed very popular . We ventured out and ate at some lovely restaurants, Howies restaurant which is just a short walking distance was fabulous, delicious food, we also liked Gordon’s Trattoria Italian which was situated on the royal mile. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly, a special mention to Phil and Aiden, the two young barmen in the evenings , they were fabulous to us, and went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable, always had time to chat with us. Would definitely return to this hotel if we were to visit Edinburgh in the future.

Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of Princes Street, just opposite the Waverley train station. It is tastefully decorated, giving a posh yet cozy atmosphere. The staff here were very helpful & friendly. We were struggling with big luggage’s and they came to help us & waited till we checked in to send the luggages to the rooms. As a platinum elite member, I got complementary upgrade to suite rooms which was really a big bonus. The breakfast is fantastic and sumptuous. The restaurant Twenty looks really beautiful & the bar area looks really inviting.

12:30 LTE1 Vo) 4G+ .al 32% Hotel Indigo Edinburgh Princes Street, an IHG Hotel Written 12/03/23 A room with a view. Mar 2023 We stayed for four days in a king room with fabulous views of the castle and beyond. The room was spacious . The only downside to the room was that the pillows were really soft and when I enquired at reception I was told that there was no other choice. The room lacked any cusions or a blanket at the bottom of the bed The chairs for watching T.V. were hard and uncomfortable without a cusion. The mini bar did not have any complimentary wines or soft drinks just water. When we stayed at Indigo Stratford Upon Avon and Glasgow they provided a better mini bar. Our breakfast on each day was cooked superb and piping hot. The fresh fruit and bakery choice was also excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we would certainly stay at this hotel again in the future. Rend less ^ Explore Search Plan Review Account -

Arrived early due to morning flight and the hotel was very accommodating with our baggage while we explored the city for a few hours while our room was prepared. once inside the room it was a Queen with city view to the side of the building (Scott monument and castle). Very well situated for both old and new town. We was b&b and the Scottish breakfast was a must ( all though disappointed no square sausage, just normal bangers). The bar area was reasonably priced compared with old town prices and the cocktails were immense. Now for the wrong time. At present there is works going on on the pavements outside the hotel, so when the trams stop at about 1130 with the bing bing of the bell as it rounds the corner the roadworks outside begin and throughout the night was the noise of jack hammers and reverse beepers, followed by bing bing at about 530 again. Obviously this is beyond the hotels control but being a light sleeper this was annoying. Definitely would stay again once the work is finished.

Arranged a surprise stay for my sister and brother in law to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The hotel were fantastic from the minute they arrived and provided a number of surprises. I choose this hotel as I had a wonderful experience there. The food is excellent and the rooms are lovely and the hotel is in an ideal location in Princess Street. The staff were wonderful. I can’t wait for a return visit.
