I have stayed her and placed very positive feedback, as mentioned before the staff are great especially at reception, rooms are well appointed etc but my second breakfast was a disaster, after a first day it was apparent that the small restaurant was close to capacity, we were seated and asked what we wanted to drink and left to it,...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Great location in a laid-back neighbourhood full of pubs, cafés and restaurants (one minute from Haymarket train station, directly accessible from the airport by a tram or a bus), and within a walking distance from the Old town. Lovely and well-equipped rooms (iron, hairdryer, kettle...), friendly personnel, and if you book directly through hotel website, continental breakfast is included for...

A lovely comfortable, clean modern hotel, not the largest room ever, but free wifi, and a very comfortable bed, good bathroom facilities, with lovely Elemis products to use, and just a mini stroll into the centre of the City. I didn't eat at the hotel but close by was a fabulous place for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and...

I stayed here for 2 nights.. the start of my trip in Scotland & my end. The location of this hotel is very convenient! tram & bus to the airport is down the block (30 mins to the airport). Different food options are available. If you want, there's 2 supermarkets around. Both rooms were spacious. I guess there wasn't a...

I had a nice stay in Edinburgh for 2 nights. Bed a little short in length for me, but fine room. Breakfast was substantial, but I found the choices for the international breakfast to be rather poor. On the contrary, the warm breakfast was very good.

Get to room not on the main road side, where the noise does not affect your stay. You booked ticket via hotel to i.g. to football matches etc etc. Bring your own plug and socket-outlet adapter with you

Spent three nights here whilst on a business trip to Edinburgh. Staff were very friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable and cleanliness throughout was very good. Breakfast was also very good. Very happy to return.

Our second stay, two nights while attending a rugby match. Check in staff really welcoming, room comfortable, breakfast good variety and the best burger in a long time. Good hotel, not in the centre but close enough to walk in and enjoy what Edinburgh has to offer

Decent standard modern hotel convenient for transport and Murrayfield Stadium. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms clean but small. Two gripes - the charge of £240 per night was ridiculous and openly attributed to taking advantage of the European Cup rugby - or more accurately taking advantage of me. Even at that rate breakfast was not included...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theatres and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
