Stayed here for 2 nights and found the staff both friendly and welcoming. Our room was more than adequate but we found the bed too small and we are not large people by any means. The pillows were lumpy and smelt a little stale. Perhaps they'd been stored in a cupboard prior to our stay. One of the curtains was...

We recently stayed at Kildonan Lodge for 5 nights whilst attending the Ryder Cup and golfing in the area. We found the staff to be friendly and extremely helpful, well appointed rooms and a great location on a bus route and 10 min from downtown Edinburgh. Great Scottish breakfast each morning and we had a most enjoyable dinner one evening....

My now wife and I stayed at the Kildonan a few weeks back. We had plans to get married while we were in Edinburgh. I chose this hotel based on some of the reviews found here and thought it would be a nice place to spend our wedding weekend. We were very happy with our room (a king size bed...

Overall very nice but the lounge and dining room haven't been aired in a very long time. Tried to open the windows but not a happening thing. Very hot and stuffy and smelled like an old second hand shop.

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend in Edinburgh. Lovely building, beautifully furnished. Priced fairly highly for what I expected to pay but all hotels & B&B's with similar good reviews seemed to be in the same price region. Onsite car park was a must for us. On arrival we were helped with our luggage to our room which...

Over a period of nine months or so I have visited Kildonan Lodge and stayed in four different rooms. I have to say that the rooms are really, really nice. They are roomy, comfy, good beds, with everything you need ie TV, clock/radio, hair dryer, iron etc, tea and coffee facilities, bottle of water, and, of course, the very welcoming...

We booked this little boutique hotel last minute and just after the Fringe finished. Staff were fantastic, great free parking around the rear of the hotel. Easy access by bus or 30 min walk into Princess Street. Staff will provide you with a small but card and keep you right which busses to get. Our room was on the top...

The hotel was lovely nice touch with Sherry and shortbread in your room. The room was a nice size and clean, a trust bar in the main lounge was just nice. The restaurant is separate to the hotel and it was not great could have been the late hour but breakfast was very nice
