I have stayed in Marriott hotels all over the world but this particular one has the worst house keeping service & hygiene. When we checked in and entered our room for the first time, we saw a large empty bottle of soda and some paper napkin lying beside the bed. The safe deposit box was not working. They promised to fix it but, it never happened. There were large refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bath... the gel was empty. On the second day, when we returned to the room in the evening, the beds were shabbily made and the bathroom floor was not vacuumed and shower stall was wet. This time they had hastily put some bottles of shampoo its on the counter... not even arranged properly. In the mini bar - the milk, sugar, coffee was not replenished. We still have 2 more nights here... hope the service improves.

This was the absolute worst stay of my entire life! Firstly, we arrived at 2:50 as check in was at 3, when we got to reception we were told our room wouldn’t be ready will 3:30, this was no problem and we were happy to wait. At half three we went back to the reception desk and the queue was going all the way to the door!! When we finally got to the front we asked if our room was ready yet, we were then told it would be another 30 minutes, we were slightly annoyed as we needed to get ready soon because we had plans but we understood that they must have been very busy. After another 30 minutes, it was 4 and we were supposed to check in an hour ago, we went to reception AGAIN and asked if our room was ready yet, it still was not. By this point we were not happy as we had plans and also we’d payed a lot of money for this room to not even be able to go in it, we explained this to the staff and they said they just didn’t know how long it was going to take. We asked them what we were supposed to do then because we had places we needed to be and the women simply said “you can leave your bags here”, however this was not helpful as we had clothes in our bags we needed to change into. We were told at this point they had no idea how long the room would be and we should just keep waiting. After this we started having to get ready in the PUBLIC TOILETS!!! By 5pm, 2 hours after check in time, we were finally told the room was ready, when we got to the room- there was only one double bed when we paid for a room with a double bed and a sofa bed as there’s three of us. We had to go down to reception for the 5th time to tell them we were missing a bed in our room, they told us it would be there when we got back from our plans. Later on, when we arrived back we found they had left us with a tiny camping bed with the most rock hard mattress EVER, i could not sleep all night as i could feel springs underneath me and i kept nearly falling off because of how small it was. Was the absolute worst stay of my life, a huge waste of money, had the worst nights sleep ever, and was only given a 10% discount which was absolutely not good enough considering the amount of money we payed for this awful hotel. Would not stay here again if someone paid me to do so.

We used the hotel for a night before and after a holiday from airport, using room with parking deal. Found it very good, rooms were very comfortable, food was good and reasonable. Great to have the leisure facilities available. Hotel is in process of refurbishment which is good. There is an airport bus stop just to the right of the hotel exit which we used to get to airport when leaving but were too late on return so used a taxi back which cost about £15. That little bit of distance from airport is worth it for hotel facilities, no aircraft noise and you have Gyle Centre virtually next door too.

Very tired & room in desperate need of a deep clean. Shower water pressure was very low. Near a v busy road to if your room faces that way it’s noisy. Not aircon. Reception staff are not helpful Not the best location for getting into Edinburgh either.

We had a quick two night stay at the Marriott before heading back to the US after 2.5 weeks in the UK. It was a perfect location for us to get to the airport and we found the bus system to get into downtown Edinburgh to be very easy! Our room (and beds) was comfortable and we ordered room service the first night so we could eat and crash after a busy day. That was very tasty and convenient not having to travel out with two small kids. Good stay!

Dirty and shabby and well in need of the refurbishment taking place. However I did not need the staff team talk to take place front of house when I was trying to have a relaxing drink. Thus was pure crass and showed lack of management. The £& overnight parking is also out of kilter with similar hotels in the area. Look elsewhere is my advice.

I couldn't stay as planned because there were building works in the hotel that had overrun, meaning there was no room for me. I was greeted by Gino, who informed me that he had made me a new booking at the Moxy and he arranged for a taxi to collect me. Gino also arranged a taxi for the morning to get me to my place of business. So review is for the effort made to relocate me at their cost. I was actually very satisfied and Gino was super lovely and helpful.

Terrible stay as no communication between staff at all on reception or restaurant. Our room was freezing cold - Aircon didn't work and were given a dirty electric heater that hardly heated the room . We also found rubbish under bed and dust on top of headboard and mirrors. Stay at Marriott international hotels regular and this is the first 1 we have experienced issues of any kind .

Very comfortable stay for a weekend. Room clean and tidy. Health club with pool very good. Sauna and jacuzzi were very good. Didn’t use bar or restaurant facility but menu looked good. Have eaten here before with no complaints. (£8 a day parking - just saying) 😉

Stayed here recently with Family on a Trip to Edinburgh. I was very happy with this Hotel. We had a swim in the lovely pool, very nice temperature, also has a hot tub and steam room and sauna. The rooms are lovely, very clean. We had dinner in the restaurant, The Food was first class , there is some renovation going on, but it didn’t impact our stay. The breakfast was really nice, buffet style with all you could ever want at breakfast time. We would definitely stay here again, it’s in a great spot with a bus stop just outside if you don’t want to drive into the centre of Edinburgh, also a few really good retail parks near bye..Had a great time ..
