We stayed here for 3 nights in a one bedroom double apartment. Having an apartment was amazing, and the staff was very nice. We enjoyed being able to self-cater easily and having a living room-- it injected a little bit of normalcy into a longer trip. The wifi was great and the location in new town but close to Waverly...

We (2) recently stayed 3 nights here. It was nice to have a kitchen including W/D, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator. There were plenty of utensils, bowls, fry pans & china for 4 people. The living room space seated 4 comfortably & the flat screen TV was nice. Our bathroom was modern w/a nice shower (no tub). There was a...

Just checked out after a 10 night stay in Edinburgh, and this place was ideal for a long term stay. Location was by far the best feature of the apartment. Right off the main streets in New Town. Close to pubs, shops and everything you needed but far enough away that it wasn't too busy. A few have complained that...

We rented the 2 bedroom flat at Fountain Court the 1st 2 weeks of July. The staff was great, the location was fantastic - 1 block from George St. It was a quick 3 minute walk to the playground at Princes Gardens which was a fantastic way of taking a break with the kids every day. Shopping at the Coop...

Stayed there for 3 nights in July with my children. Tired after a long trip, we were welcomed by a nice Hungarian man at reception who helped us with everything we needed. The room is great, with comfortable beds and a good leather sofa, and a complete kitchen. This is great if you're away from home with kids who miss...

This was our best hotel stay of the trip and unfortunately it was for only one night. If every hotel could mirror FC's Stewart Aptments, I'd be a happy traveler. The apartment is brand new, well appointed with high-quality furnishings and a lot of space. The clothes washer was a huge bonus as well, plus they have all the little...

Very modern, clean apartment close to pubs, clubs and restaurants. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 3 nights. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everywhere including the Royal Mile and Waverley Station. Free wifi was a bonus!

I have stayed in Stewart Apartment ,Young Street for 10 months through my company expenses. The place is very near to Princess Street and city center. The room service is flawless and all people working there are cheerful. Adequately spacious clean rooms and good facilities. Room Rates are also good if we go for corporate booking for long stays.

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
