Everything from check-in to check-out was fabulous. Traveled from the US and the early check-in made our trip; we didn't need to stumble around Edinburgh on a Sunday morning exhausted because we were able to take a nap, shower, and see the city with fresh eyes. Amira was so kind. IHG hotels are the best hotels to stay in when traveling internationally. This was our first time in a Voco - excellent! Location is perfect. Close to everything - but just outside the hustle and bustle. Taking the tram from the airport and walking to the hotel - simple (Haymarket Station stop).

Very nice and modern hotel in the center of the city and close to the convention center. We stayed in much bigger since it was intended for disabled individuals. Very good breakfast included. Staff was wonderful in the front desk as well as the restaurant. The front desk staff gave us great ideas for places to visit as well as great restaurant recommendations. At the restaurant in the morning staff was kind and meeting all requests to the best of their abilities and in the being making recommendations for drinks, beers and whisky. The room was ample, clean and modern. Overall a great place to stay in Edinburgh.

Excellent hotel, spotlessly clean, outstanding decor. Great bar with attentive staff, tasty nibbles and a funky setting. George checked us in and it was a fantastic experience, instantly making us feel welcome and he gave us an outstanding introduction to the things to do in town. Location is close to the castle and the main shopping street. There was no hot water for one day of our stay, which may have been bad luck, bad maintenance or a lack of a backup system, we have no way of knowing, it was restored later in the day.

We highly recommend this hotel. We stayed here four nights. The room was new, quiet, comfortable and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and we also had dinner here. Cole served us and was very serviceminded and helpful with explaining the menu to us. The taxi also came quick when the receptionist helped us get one. We would like to come back again. Thank you. Stayed here for a few days on our first ever visit to Edinburgh. Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff and an excellent location for all the attractions. Car parking is subsidised a few hundred yards away, which wasn't great given the weather conditions but this is not the fault of the hotel. Maybe this could be rectified with a drop off point outside the hotel for bags and additional guests.

As we were spending the week in Edinburgh and would be doing a lot of walking. We wanted a lovely hotel room with a spa bath so we could relax in the evenings. The voco was perfect for this! Check in was really easy and they kept our bags safe for us until our room was ready. The room itself was very clean and even had my partners name on the tv, which was a lovely little touch. It was spacious and had an amazing view of the castle. The spa bath itself has a small issue with the jets, but the staff were so helpful and solved it for us that day and even gave us a drinks voucher to apologise. We had breakfast included, which had lots of choice and was perfect before we went out in the morning. The only tiny issue was that there weren’t any streaming services on the tv which we would have liked, but this is only a minor issue and more of a personal preference. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay and would definitely go there in the future.…

Really comfortable room and nice bathroom. We are travelling for 5 weeks so had very large suitcases which made the room a bit of a squeeze. Friendly staff though and quiet area. Sites can be a bit of a hike so make sure you check the location to what you want to do.

I chose the voco Edinburgh due to location. It was relatively close to the Haymarket train stop and also located within walking distance to many attractions, like the Royal Mile and the Edinburgh Castle. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are quite comfortable. And the breakfast options are generous. I think, if you have plans to eat out, go for it. I ate dinner twice at the hotel. The first night was fine, but the second night, I'd already eaten the things I really wanted to try on the first night, so I wouldn't consider it a "restaurant" option for multiple nights. There is a fitness center, though I didn't use it and noted both treadmills were out of order (there are some free weights, a multi-purpose machine, a bike, rower, and elliptical, plus medicine balls - so you could get a decent workout in if needed). There are a variety of food options within a 5-10 minute walk and I was able to find a yoga studio about a 25 minute walk away. This is a very walkable city - just make sure, if you're traveling in March (at least) - pack rain gear! I would stay here again.…
