Stayed here for 3 nights. Room is okay. But the noise is horrendous. Avoid room 410. All you hear all night is banging noise glasses recycle. Travelodge should invest on good quality windows. Its been a problem since but i think they havent took any notice of it.

First time with Travelodge and impressed with the quality, location and value for money in a city notorious for expensive and often overpriced hotel accommodation. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and would gladly stay there again.

Stayed at the Queen St Travelodge for total 4 nights. Price wise, a little over what I wanted to pay initially but the location and quality of their rooms are worth it coz I had the best 4 nights sleep. Bed is so so comfy! There's one Travelodge on Princes St. But if you don't mind the little walk from...

The hotel is opposite Queen Street Gardens and provides a good view if facing the street. The staff were friendly and welcoming and were happy to give directions to local attractions, if asked (although I did not need to).

We stayed here for two nights while exploring the city. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is great for walking into the city centre and it's not far from the train station. Would stay again!

Stayed here for 3nights during the Easter break. It was a perfect base for exploring all that the fabulous city has to offer. Walking distance to everything. It is very basic but we expected this when booking so there was no surprise. I could not fault our stay here, the room and bathroom were both spotless clean, nice modern decor,...

The staff was very helpfull, allthough a mail request has not been fulfilled, even though, we received an online confirmation. The room was spacious and clean. The location is convenient, the main attractions are easy to reach by Walking and there are less tourists around.

Staying in New Town

Neighbourhood Profile
New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighbourhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.
