Perfect location for shopping, eateries & visiting the sights of this very lovely city. As always you know what to expect when you arrive at a Premier Inn, but the service here at reception, in the restaurant and at the bar was exceptional. The views are to die for and the food was very good too. Perfect in every way...

Premier inn as usual lived up to expectations. Great price for an overnight stay in a great location in Edinburgh. The room was so comfortable and clean and the bathroom was excellent. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. A lovely bar and service excellent as well, even though they were quite busy .

Stayed for one night in February half term 2017 and found everything about this hotel to be excellent. We came by train and the hotel was a 5-10 min walk along Princes Street. Stayed in a family room which had a superb view of Edinburgh Castle. Breakfast was very good, the atmosphere was relaxed and again there were good views...

Well I stayed here with my partner for 2 nights as a short visit it Edinburgh, the hotel was clean and really central just what we wanted, could not comment on the food here as we always eat out where ever we are but the room is as you would expect from a premier inn, for the prices you pay...

We were booked into a disabled room dispite booking a double room. It cost us £202 for two nights and was not even worth half of that. The room was dirty, dust around the edges of the carpet that had not been hoovered. The bathroom floor was dirty, urine stains on the outside of the toilet pan and clearly the...

This "budget" hotel is furbished to a high standard and is easily accessed off Princes Street. Perhaps I was lucky but my 6th floor room offered a wonderful view of the castle and Princes Street gardens.

This has got to be the best Premier Inn I've been to. It is pretty new and clean and very un fuzzy. The best for having a safe place to stay while you explore the city. We took breakfast in the hotel. Maybe they can vary the cycle as having to eat the same thing two days straight is the...

I decided to book rooms at this hotel for Saturday evening instead of travelling back to Glasgow after a family birthday party which would finish in the small hours of the morning. On check-in, our rooms weren't ready which was a little disappointing, but it was promptly sorted, so we did not find this an issue. The room itself was...

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
