I stayed in room 405. The carpet under mirror was soaking wet, did advise reception they said they would fix straight away but never did. Hotel is ok but the attention to detail is lacking. On entering room the heating was on full blasts but they had the windows and screens open.

I have stayed here before and found the staff very kind and very helpful. Today over the phone, having had trouble with an on line booking for 2017, a member of staff went out of her way to help me when she did not need to and hence I am writing this in the hope that her boss reads this,... More

My husband and I visited this week for a quick break before the Christmas chaos and were not disappointed. For a second time the fire alarm went off during our stay but this didn't affect our stay and the staff dealt with it perfectly. This travelodge is in a great location and the staff are so helpful and friendly! We... More

Stayed for a birthday weekend. Value for money is excellent and rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are pleasant and genuinely look after you. If you want a hotel as a base and nothing more I would highly recommend this.

This Hotel is very central but the entrance is in an alley. If you are unlucky like us and get a room with a view of it. be prepared for the noise all day and night. There is a building site next door and the service entrance to it is on this same alley. the Hotel windows are secondary glazing... More

Once you get inside the hotel it is just like any other Travelodge. Good value. Excellent service by reception. Outside Meuse Lane was a disgrace. Filthy with litter that had clearly been there for weeks. But we would stay there again to get a quality room at that price in the centre of the city. You don't need to do anything... More

Really had a good night, hotel and staff excellent, we went to the playhouse and so pleased my wife sorted it out, regarding disabled parking? Right out side the door providing you have a blue badge. 5 min to the playhouse and nr onstep to princess street. But highly recommend the travelodge.

Great service fantastic location - super clean rooms. Would definitely stay again and recommend. The hotel was a great place to stay and as it was over the road from the train station was very convenient.

Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighbourhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
