I've stayed at Pollock Halls for a few summers now and love it. It's very clean and the food is lovely - lots of it as it's a buffet. As a single traveller I always feel very safe there. The only criticism is that the beds are not very comfortable, but all in all very good value for money.

This is an off campus dorm for the University of Edinburgh. Although it is not near the downtown (historic) area, it is on the bus line that will take you to town center. There are plenty of restaurants around. When we were there, the elevator wasn't working, but normally there would be an elevator available for upper floors. You have...

We stayed here for a new year break, it wasn't our first choice but I'm pleased we came. Bedrooms are excellent, general state of the buildings is fine, remember this is not 5 star accommodation, the staff are so friendly and very helpful. The campus provides a relaxing area for the hotel and the views of Arthur's seat are excellent....

This is my fourth visit to stay at Pollock Halls during the Festival in August when of course, prices for accommodation in Edinburgh can be astronomic. I haven't yet been disappointed and all the Hall buildings appear to be designed and furnished in a similar comfortable style. There is an excellent booking-in Welcome Centre and sensible security controlled access system...

Good value accommodation in Edinburgh where room prices are crazy especially during festivals. Student room was cozy with ample cupboard space, desk, kettle with complementary tea/coffee, lots of power-points, and sink. Bed was not the most comfortable though. Was not an issue getting a shared shower as there're plenty on each floor. Each block has coin operated laundry facilities which...

Recently, I was searching for self-cater property in the Edinburgh area, to be on-hand for the new Borders Railway, amongst other things. I know I had passed over the Pollock Halls, thinking this was not an appropriate set-up for me. However, searching for suitable small scale accommodation, at a realistic price, I was lead back to this situation - essentially...

The rooms will have all what you need (bed, tv, bathroom, space enough for yourself). The english breakfast is very delicious and the reception is always kind and look well on theyr guests. At first we were a little skeptical about staying in a student halls! However, everything about our short stay was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, perfectly adequate and a lot cheaper than the competition. Breakfast was included, offering a huge selection of fruit, cereals, cooked food, coffee, tea and juices. Def recommended and would...

This conference accommodation center is huge. Rooms are basic and devoid of anything pretty, but they serve their function. The staff is just great and very service minded. The room was quite dusty, which triggered my astma

I was in Chancellor's Court on the first floor. The staff were kind and helpful, especially the employees in the cafeteria. I stayed there with my 16 month old child and every day at breakfast, someone brought us a child seat without ever having to ask for one. They offered to help me carry my tray, and went above and...
