Quite far out of the centre hence very affordable but that is not the only reason for it's cheap price as I quickly found out. Rooms are clean but a bit run down, and pretty chilly - not to mention noisy at the front. Beds felt like they belonged in a student digs with miniature quilts that were light and...

A little dated in decor and would benefit from a update particularly in the bathroom department. However, having said this, this was a business trip and everything was completely serviceable and fit for purpose. Staff were very friendly and helpful...thank you! If you're looking for modern boutique hotel you will be sadly disappointed but if you are looking for value...

The Corstorphine hotel located in peaceful area of Edinburgh. Built in the late 1880, the Victorian Villas form peace and tranquility and you will enjoy calm and quiet surroundings. Easily approachable from City Centre and Airport.

I was welcomed warmly and the ground floor room was spacious but beware the combi boiler in a cupboard which fired up everytime anyone in the hotel was using hot water! I had an early flight and so went to breakfast at opening (7 am) but then waited over 30 minutes for badly cooked bacon and egg. Nevertheless, good value...

We stayed at the hotel while we came up to visit Edinburgh Zoo. We picked the hotel due to its location, a ten to fifteen minute walk straight down the road to the zoo, and the price, at the time we stayed it was just £20 per person per night including breakfast, which was unrivalled in the local area. The...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for a few days. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean with some rooms offering great view out of the windows. It is also well located with frequent connecting buses to the airport/city. There are plenty of places to eat nearby serving Italian, English and Chinese food in addition to takeaway...

Friendly welcome. Nice, old feeling hotel. However, bedroom very small single, and not the "business double room" that I booked and paid for. Overpriced, as so small there wasn't even space for a bedside table. I wear glasses, and a room were I can't put my glasses next to me is not good enough, The toilet room was too small...

I was in this hotel 3 times, and it was very good. I spend time in Cumberland Hotel. Service is pleasant, rooms are neat and tidy and delicious breakfast. I will return to this hotels every time when i will be in Edinburgh. In my opinion Cumberland Hotel is a very good choise for tourists.

Where do I start? This is a tired hotel that badly needs both updating and some attention to detail. The plus point is that staff are helpful and obliging, but I am afraid that there are very few if any other good things I can say. When I checked in I was shown to a large but gloomy room that...

I stayed one night with my two girls in the family suite. Their was plenty of room and big beds. The rooms may need renovation, but the people are very friendly and helpful. The Scottish Breakfast was hearty and plenty.
