A fairly typical traditional scottish Hotel with on street car parking (free). Also a small car park at the side of the hotel.Staff were very friendly and breakfast was well worth the extra and served in the very pleasant dining room. The bedroom with ensuite bath was comfortably equipped with all the usual amenities. We`ll be back .

Okay, so first location. My wife and I can walk a mile in 15 minutes so use that as a guide. From the hotel to central Edinburgh took us 20 minutes. To take the 22 bus on Dalry Rd to central Edinburgh is about 3 mins to the stop, and to the 35 bus to the Britannia is about a...

We had to cancel our stay but they let us book later by paying the extra which was nice of them. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and had an en suite, the wifi from downstair also worked in our room. It was cold at night with just the 1 heater on but we found a plug in...

I booked this hotel from booking.com, stayed 2nights and it was a first for me and husband in Edinburgh. The location was also great as you got bus stop right outside the door and only 10-15 minutes away from princess street. the staff couldn't do enough for you and very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this...

This was obviously a converted house, but with amenities such as a bar and dining area. There was internal work going on with drills when we arrived although the young girl who greeted us was very pleasant. Parking was extremely limited, basically to two spaces, other than that, it was luck to park on the small no through lane beside...

Hello Elaine, I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay with us. I'm sorry you walked into internal works, we do try to do all works during the day while most guests are out so we don't cause too much disturbance. The hotel was recently taken over by new owners and we set to improve the standard of rooms and...

Booked this hotel whilst visiting Edinburgh with friends, it was a perfect location for getting to and from the city centre by walking (15 minutes) bus (10 minutes) and taxi (5 minutes) which was also very cheap; £6. The bar/lounge area in the hotel was very welcoming and lovely to sit in sipping a glass of wine (or 2!) and...

Stayed two nights and it was fine. A little dated but this does not affect the level of comfort. Nice touch was that the staff noticed we needed an extra pillow when the room was freshened up on day two, we did not need to ask. Breakfast was well cooked, generous and swiftly delivered by very cheerful, friendly staff. Very...

The hotel staff were all very friendly, especially the kitchen staff. The full Scottish breakfasts were very filling and very tasty. The room we were in was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. Towels were changes regularly. We have no adverse comments to make at all and look forward to staying there on our next visit.
