The welcome and ongoing attention to my comfort at AmarAgua was warm and solicitous. The room was small but comfortable. The location is convenient to bus lines (short ride to Royal Mile area). Good restaurants are within walking distance through a well-maintained neighborhood. I found Edinburgh to be somewhat rough - the local populace seemed to be stuck in a...

We loved our stay at AmarAgua and wished it had been longer! We fell in love with the place. The rooms were excellent and our hosts went out of their way to help our group when we realized we'd have to leave before breafkast! We are already planning a return trip in two years!

Picked this after all the great reviews on Trip Advisor and found it all to be true! An elegant, beautifully decorated house, spacious rooms, super comfy bed - it was lovely. The choice and quality for breakfast was astounding - so many options we wanted to stay for 2 weeks to work our way through them all! (I'd recommend the...

From the minute we stepped in the welcome was fantastic, Dawn-Ann was friendly and catered for every possible question or query you may have had, with really useful local info, places to eat recommendations,bus...

Always tricky booking a place to stay with friends however we need not have worried here. Really friendly, well appointed, great breakfasts, quiet surrounding area and with easy access to the city itself - what more could you ask?

We recently came back from a 3 week holiday in England and Scotland. We stayed in 8 different guest houses/B&B's in 8 locations throughout the two countries. This was definitely one of the best ones we stayed in. The place is beautifully restored. Our room had a 4 poster bed and a lovely new bathroom. The small things make all...

We really enjoyed our stay at AmarAgua Guest House. The food was very good, the room very nice and the hosts very accomodating. We would recommend this B & B to our best friends even though it is a little bit off the beaten path. One suggestion would be to inform the tourist office in downtown Edinburgh as excactly where...

On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Dawn and the glitch with the booking (I thought we had booked two rooms but due to confusion on website at the time only one reserved...this has now been remedied) was handled very quickly and efficiently. The rooms were lovely, not a spec of dust anywhere, beautiful cotton bedding, bathroom spotless...
