Ideal accomodation. The guest hostess is always available and extremely kind, and full of humour. The breakfast is delicious.

The Sheridan is located within walking distance to the city (we consider a half hour walk a nice stroll) with easy access to Leith where there are some nice choices for your evening meal. The bus stop is across the road. Our room was spacious, fresh-feeling and clean and we had a lovely outlook. Tom and Rowena are friendly, open... More

A home away from home, you lack for nothing here. Rowena and Tom are the perfect host couple. The breakfast was the best we had in Scotland. Convenient to public transportation. Rowena has a gift as a gardner.

The Sheridan House in Edinburgh was our first stop during our trip to Scotland. It is a very cozy and well kept B&B. Our room was very nice and had a small, but effective en-suite bath. The breakfast was very good and we were provided with several options for breakfast which was very nice. The location was not too far... More

I stayed in Edinburgh for work and after browsing through endless hotels that looked bad and were incredibly expensive (I wasn't paying but still...) I found this guest house. There are few places that I would recommend without any hesitation but that is certainly one of them. The place is gorgeous, decorated with taste, the breakfast is wonderful and the... More

A very nice B&B not far from the city center and easy to reach by bus The room was very clean and comfortable, but the ensuite bathroom was very small. A great variety of breakfast to choice cooked at the moment e served with carefully and kindness.

We stayed here in mid-July for 5 nights. To begin with, I think location is good. It is not in the heart of the city (Princes St/ royal mile etc) but you should probably check into hotel if you are looking for that. Otherwise, the bus stop is across the road with frequent services and takes less than 10 minutes... More

Ideal starting point for our Scotland tour - Rowena and Tom were very friendly (we didn't see Rowena not smiling) and very helpful (e.g. they gave us very useful recommendations about B&Bs in other areas of Scotland along our route). Excellent breakfast in very nice atmosphere; abundance of literature on Edinburgh and Scotland available; only slight inconvenience: room & bath... More

Agree with almost all other reviews here - lovely little guest house, sparkling clean, interesting decor, excellent choice of breakfasts and all very nice. Tom and Rowena were attentive, very helpful, and excellent, cheerful hosts. Easy bus trip into town and elsewhere - good value and easy to use buses everywhere. So why not a higher rating? All to do... More
