This place is the perfect location! Angela provided a great welcome and fabulous breakfast. Our rooms en-suite bathrooms were spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds and everything you might need provided. We loved the tray of wine and whiskey! Lots of good restaurants nearby- We had a fabulous meal at the Educated Flea just around the corner. Thank you for the great stay Angela. Claire Ferguson
My Wife and I stayed here for a week in April and enjoyed many of the advantages that 14 Hart Street offers. Our bedroom was very big and well equipped with an especially comfortable bed and the bathroom was good too. The breakfasts were generous and Angela was a very welcoming and informative hostess. The location couldn't be better, a nice Georgian house in a quiet street near the center of Edinburgh and very close to Broughton Street where there are a variety of remarkably good restaurants, cafes and wine bars. However we do have a few niggles. Rooms are in quite a deep basement and consequently quite dark even at mid-day; electric lighting wasn't really adequate to overcome this. During the day when the central heating is turned off the room was distinctly chilly. Our bathroom had a pretty but hopelessly inadequate sink - flat and only capable of holding water to a maximum depth of about two inches making washing and shaving a bit difficult. Finally I think that numbering or naming the rooms would have helped fellow guests to find their own rooms at night (I speak from experience). But these are generally niggles; overall we enjoyed our stay here.…
Thank you, Angela for the lovely stay! The beds are super compy I have to say, the street is super calm, almost no noise at all and many tasty berries for breakfast <3 Can only recommend this bnb! Merci
We had a wonderful stay in edinburgh with Angela. The B&B was located perfectly near lots of restaurants and pubs directly in the city centre. We could do all the sightseeing by foot. Angela herself was really friendly, had good tips and welcomed us warmly in her fantastic ancient house.
Having stayed at 14 Hart Street 3 times before, we had no hesitation in returning for another 4 night stay in April. Again, Angela was the perfect host, made us feel very welcome and was happy to do breakfast before an early-ish departure on our leaving day. The house and the room were both spotless and the room was very well appointed with quality beds and bedding and a power shower. The breakfasts in the spacious and smart breakfast room were delicious with quality cereals, fruits, toasts and croissants, with cooked items available too. 14 Hart Street is in a very attractive location, it must be one of Edinburgh's quietest streets but is still in easy reach of bars and restaurants and no more than 15 minutes walk from Waverley Station. I thoroughly recommend 14 Hart Street when staying in Edinburgh and will be visiting again.…
