John is the perfect host and his breakfasts are wonderful. He can help direct you to anyplace in the city. The rooms are clean spacious and quiet. He has umbrellas next to the front door which is so important in Edinburgh. We enjoyed talking with him during breakfast. If you're visiting Edinburgh it's a great place to stay!

Sandilands Guest House is really nice, and ideally located for visiting the sights of Edinburgh. Although it within walking distance of the city centre it is quiet and conducive to a good night's rest. During our visit it was great to park our car at the house, and to either walk or take a bus to see the major attractions....

My wife and I were through for the weekend and were so glad to have stayed at the Sandilands. We were delighted to have received such a friendly warm welcome by both John and Maureen and was very grateful for their kindness in making sure that I received a lovely cooked breakfast on a morning that I had to leave...

Very welcoming, friendly and catered for our needs superbly. We had some inconvenient timings of events during our stay but this was not a problem for John and Maureen. Our room was spacious and clean with tv and en suite. Thank you and will look you up when we revisit Edinburgh.

This was my second visit to the Sandilands Guest House and it delivered once again. The location of the Guest House is great as it's only a 5 minute bus to town or 15 minute walk if you walk instead. The Guest House offers free parking which is an added bonus. The room I stayed in was on the ground...

Sandilands was not the closest B&B to downtown, but for the price in Edinburgh, it was very nice. The room was spacious and clean. The hosts were very informative and friendly. The internet was fast and the breakfast was good. There is great parking right in front off the street. We would stay there again.

We were disappointed with our stay, the room was a decent size but didn't seem very fresh. The ensuite was very small with a tiny shower and only 2 small sachets of shower gel supplied. After 2 days we asked for our towels to be changed as they were not drying (it stated in the room information that towels were...

Enjoyed a long weekend break at this lovely guest house. John and Maureen were very helpful and attentive hosts. Sandilands is well situated for a short walk into the city, for those who don't want to walk there is a bus stop just outside the property. The twin room I shared with my cousin was comfortable, well appointed and spotless,...

I've just got back from a lovely, long weekend in Edinburgh with my cousin. John and Maureen couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. We were in room 1 a small, spotlessly clean twin. The shower room is a bit small but perfectly adequate with plenty of hot water. The room is at the front of the house and although...
