I'm not keen on small b&bs prefering larger chains to be ensure a reasonable consistency of service -bland. However I was stopping for a weekend and took a chance on this b&b. Glad I did. It was very comfortable and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I found myself asking for assistance on things I wouldn't normally bother staff with...

We had a very tasty evening meal served with a huge smile from Linda and her "other half". The staff went way beyond just giving...

We received a warm friendly welcome upon arrival. The room was very clean and spacious. It had hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee, large flatscreen tv, free wi-fi and a huge comfy bed. The bathroom had a large walk in shower - no bath. Breakfast was excellent -help yourself to choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, then cooked breakfast, tea or coffee...

Having stayed with Ted and Dot for 11months due to work, all I can say is its the best guest house i have ever stayed at. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is five star and the owners and staff are the most welcoming around. Will be back at the earliest opportunity.

I was working at the hospital for two days so chose this hotel as it was less than a mile away. I arrived quite early well before the normal check in time but this was not a problem for the proprietor and was made to feel welcome the moment I pulled into the car park. Food was excellent, restaurant was...
