i am a lodge owner here on the banks of Loch Lomond and have been for over 20 years, but certainly in the last 15 years each year we come something else within the lodge has been culled or downgraded. I do not consider the lodge to be a quality venue any longer and certainly would not buy one in... More

Well where to start? The place was old and tired. Our double bed was shoved against the wall and there was little room to move about. No where to unpack unless you used the bed and no where to stow your case once you had. The whole place was tired and dated, the decor was depressing, and the standard of... More

I sadly made the mistake of booking this place instead of the b and b of the same name . This one smelt awful and was grubby and scruffy , on opening the wardrobe dust fell off , cheap sheets , and tiny bedrooms , the owner tried to charge us £100 a night , so poor I could not... More

having seen a photograph of the guest house, on line, we thought the house looked very attractive. How wrong we were!!! We rang the bell on arrival and it was answered by a young Chinese girl from the house next door. we were given forms to fill in stating what we wanted for breakfast and what time we would arrive... Very poor. No reception when I arrived. Couldn't fill kettle with water - could only plug it into socket with the kettle standing on the floor. Lady serving breakfast could hardly speak English - poor reception - far away from the normal Scottish "good morning" greeting (she is from China I think). Apparent that all effort went into keeping costs... More

Room was very tiny with bed against wall. Bed light not working. No where to sit. Room was not serviced for our two night stay. Caretaker did not know about local attractions, or where to eat. The worst place we stayed at in our two month visit to the UK. Would not recommend. Good location and street parking.

Our stay at Camerons Guest House for two nights during our recent trip to Scotland was very nice. There was on street parking available, and the bus stop to get downtown was located 50 feet away. The house faces a beautiful park area, and there were several restaurants within walking distance. Our hostess had a dog and a bird within... More

Owner was not there upon arrival. Instruction on front door to find nearest phone and call for instructions to access B&B. No one was inside, felt as though we were the only one staying there. Discover later during breakfast more than half the rooms were booked. Our room was a family room for three. Our first impression after entering the... More
