Suggested to us by family who live close by. Brilliant location, dog friendly with park walks nearby. Bus routes run past or a short walk away to get into the city. We stayed the night before Scotland v Italy on March 18th. So good we have booked again!

I visited Scotland with a small tour group and we stayed 2 nights with the group and at the end of the tour, one night and we were the only ones in the place. Sandra was so friendly and helpful and the accommodations were sparkling clean and comfortable. We couldn't have wanted for anything! The breakfasts were superb and so...

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights and were quite happy with our room which was clean, cozy and comfortable. Sandra stayed up late to let us in when our flight was delayed. Her breakfast was tasty and fueled us up for our walks about Edinburgh. Hollyrood Park is just a few blocks away and makes for a...

We were there July 2015 for two nights. The B&B is located 15 minutes by foot to the city center or 15 minutes to the portobello beach. Our room, the breakfast, bathroom etc. was ok! Sandra is very friendly!

It was THE BEST guesthouse I've ever stayed at (not one of). Sandra was warm and friendly with amazing cooking skills who even catered for vegetarian breakfast! Many people, sometimes even hotels, couldn't bother. The room was very clean and tidy. It was located at a nice and quiet neighbourhood and bus stops were easily accessible so getting around the...

The Brae Guest House is a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh. I just stayed 3 nights and would return if I could. Sandra is a wonderful host. The room is much larger than a typical B&B. It was so clean and quiet. Brae Guest House is in a quiet residential area which is extremely safe. My room overlooked the...

We have stayed with Sandra a number of occasions and a more pleasant and accommodating owner you'll be pushed to find. A mixture of good quality accommodation and a fine served Scottish breakfast sets the tourist up for the day. Situated on an arterial route into Edinburgh, buses are very accessible. Lothian buses could teach many a city how to...

We stayed with Sandra and Rab after an Air BnB booking didn't live up to expectations. We needed somewhere fast, that accepted our two dogs and within the locality of Leith where we were booked to have a meal at Martin Wisharts restaurant. The Guesthouse was very clean, tidy and accommodating. Sandra was very helpful and made our stay very...

Having stayed in a few areas in Edinburgh before finding this B&B several years ago I have to say this is the best as it's the one I come back to again and again for my annual trip to the Fringe. Sandra is a friendly and helpful hostess who cooks an excellent Scottish breakfast and the rooms are always spotless...
