We had not heard of Balmule House before our daughter attended a friend's wedding there. We had a wonderful overnight stay in the luxurious surroundings of this former Tower House. We were very warmly welcomed by Owner Franc Jeffrey and his partner. We were lucky enough to stay in the magnificent and spacious Master Suite. All furnishings, fittings, works of...

How can one rate Balmule as anything other than excellent? The standard of care shown by the owner, Frank, for our every need in a 3-day stay was exemplary. Whether it related to where to visit in Fife, where to eat outside the hotel, what we wanted for breakfast (regardless of whether it was on the menu), or how to...

Firstly, sorry this has taken so long to write, I guess thinking life would be more relaxed and we would have more free time after getting married was wrong! It was the first venue we visited and we knew we wanted to get married at Balmule the moment we drove up the drive and stepped into the house. Everything was...

This is the second time we have stayed at Balmule. A beautiful house in a lovely location and an excellent host in Franc who does everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. The service is fantastic without being intrusive and nothing is too much bother.

Beautiful house, stunning bathroom, excellent host in Franc, and a gorgeous breakfast in the morning, only ten minutes from Dunfermline town centre. Highly recommended and look forward to a return visit.

I recently stayed at Balmule as part of a wedding party. The wedding was elsewhere but the groom and his party stayed at Balmule. Despite only booking 10 days before (very unorganised and laidback groom), our welcome and stay were exceptional. The interior design and attention to detail is second to none. The bed was one of the most comfortable...

My husband and I got married at Balmule House in July 2016. We wanted a small family wedding and were struggling to find a venue until we found Balmule. It really is a wonderful place and was totally perfect for us. Carolyn, Frank and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and allow you to have exactly the day...

My husband and I were recently married at Balmule in October. We took the house for the whole weekend so that friends and family could stay for the whole weekend of the wedding. Without a doubt, everyone who stayed there thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The whole venue is beautifully decorated and the rooms all generously sized and the beds all very...

Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived by James who showed us around this magnificent property and also supported us with local knowledge. All the rooms are of a very high standard of decor with each room a different style. Much thought has gone in to the detail on the design of each so that the ambiance...

We'd definitely stay here again. Set in rolling countryside, yet close to Dunfirmline, we were given a warm welcome from James who showed us to our bedroom with its wonderful view to the south and enormous en suite bathroom that overlooks the formal walled garden and view to the west. We took time to relax in the drawing room where...
