Well, what can I say... I am not one to typically leave reviews but wow! My partner and I decided on a whim to come here for our easter dinner and we were blown away. From the minute we walked in we felt welcomed and comfortable. The staff are a real treat, customer service done right. The young lady at the bar was so lovely and chatty, showing interest in everything we talked about and constantly checking in on her colleagues to make sure they were okay and happy - which was lovely to see and hear. The food was incredible, I would recommend the steak pie to anyone! We left with the warmest feeling, the entire experience from start to finish was nothing short of perfection. Thank you for making our evening memorable. We will be back and recommending it to everyone. Well done everyone.

So, so friendly. Fantastic Full Scottish Breakfast. Great restaurant and a good value bar. Lovely clean rooms. Excellent location for the town centre, bus and rail stations. A traditional older style Scottish building. Our room was nicely heated and very spacious. We would recommend to couples, family and business visitors. Great value.

genuinely hoped that I wouldn't have to post the whole story about our dining experience at the Victoria Hotel in Kirkcaldy on Christmas day, but here i am. I tried to resolve the issues between myself and management, it was not possible. My mother, husband, 8 year old son and myself were booked for Christmas lunch. When we first arrived we were tolld to go through to the bar and get a seat, if there was one. My husband stood at the bar to order drinks only to be told by a fellow dinier after 15 minutes of waiting that it was closed. On Christmas day?? Eventually, we were asked to head through to the dining room. We were left floating around for a good while before I asked where we were sat. We were at our table for at least 20mins before being asked for our drinks order. Another 15mins passed and still no drinks. I went to the bar thinking I would be quicker that way and was told to take my seat, the drinks were coming. The food. Straight off the bat the bread rolls on the table weren't only hard on the outside, but stale on the inside too. I ordered the pate which came with 5 oatcakes and a sprig of lettuce. There was no butter or chutney. Might just be me but, i thought that was fairly standard?? My husband's prawn cocktail came with Mellon which was brick hard, my mother had the goats cheese, it was supposed to come with strawberrys and kiwifruit, she got half a strawberry. Only after we had finished our starters did the young guy who took our drinks order ask if we had received them....we hadn't. Have you tried to eat oat cakes without a drink??!! We were then told by the lady who sent me back to my seat from the bar that the Tennents was finished. Main meals. 3 of us had the roast beef which was perfectly shaped and looked like it came out of a packet. The carrots tasted like vinegar, there were 2 boiled potatoes and 2 roast potatoes, sprouts and a Yorkshire pudding on the plate. 2 out of the 3 Yorkies were raw and one even had flour inside. The gravy was decent. I wish I had ordered the 6 chicken nuggets and chips my son had for £30. There was no salt on the table and when I asked I was given 2 different looking pepper pots which I poured onto my dinner. Salt came 10mins later. Too late, cold dinner. Deserts. My son had ice-cream. My mother and I had the profiterole kebabs which were the size of marbles, but tasted alright. Husband has the cheese board, the cheese was dry as a bone and looked like it had been in the fridge unwrapped. I sent a diplomatic email with the feedback, visited twice, sent another email and phoned to try and at least get an apology or an acknowledgement. I then involved their sister Hotel in Dunfermline, only then did I get a response offering a lunch/dinner for 2. I have since declined this offer as there were 4 of us who endured what we were given on the 25th of December. I wouldn't feel comfortable or relax enough to enjoy a meal under their roof simply because of the way things have been handled. What was supposed to take the pressure off of Christmas day and a treat for my family at the price of £210 definitely was anything but.

Booked Victoria hotel for our first Christmas dinner out in 6 years . What an experience the staff was so lovely and couldn't fault them in anyway . Each friendly and very helpful. Food was amazing all fresh and homemade especially the Yorkshire puddings (my daughter even asked if she could take some home for supper) . Have already made another booking for Christmas this year and have family coming from Netherlands just to join us. Best Christmas meal I've had from any hotel on Christmas day. £200 tip was definitely worth it and can't wait to see yous all on Christmas day 2023 😊 Sarah has asked to make sure there is extra Yorkie puddings for her to take home Thank you to all the staff yous was amazing

The cleanliness of the room, decor, quality of the bed and bathroom, staff, breakfast quality, lounge and bar area was all superb - 5 stars. Perfect for a short stay and at a reasonable price. Negatives - shower pressure was poor, very weak, and took several minutes to warm up. I did raise with reception who advised someone was looking into it, as other guests had said the same. There was a slight improvement afterwards but still a weak water flow. Also Wi-Fi didn’t seem to reach my room. I could only access in the lobby. Hopefully hotel can fix for next time.

I booked this hotel very last minute for my parents who needed to stay in Kirkcaldy while visiting a terminally ill family member. They have asked me to write this review on their behalf. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and lovely and warm and their room was superb. Also the food in the hotel was lovely and very reasonably priced. As they were sleeping of a day and at the hospital of a night time the hotel very kindly made them a packed lunch as they were not there for the breakfast. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially Anne Marie who allowed them to check in early to try and get some rest after being at the hospital all night. They highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
