Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a conference at St. Andrews University. Overall, accommodations were a decent value and would recommend it to those looking to stay in St. Andrews on a budget. Pros Short walk to the heart of town, the university, and golf courses/driving range. Rooms kept clean so no major complaints at this price point. Full...

To describe St Andrews Halls of residence as a hotel does a disservice to many, not least it’s paying customers. Some of the shortcoming’s are forgivable, the tiny rooms, the notchy beds, the wafer thin pillows, the pukey curtains and decor. Garish fire alarms on the walls, endless dimly lit corridors and stairs "do’s and don’ts" plastered about the place....

We were with the Scottish Country Dancing for a week. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, but the shower was poor and the door was very noisy. It squeaked loudly and slammed easily. Our room was a long way from the lift. The breakfasts varied in quality each day, presumably because of the students employed for the cooking. Pleasant,...

I have previously stayed at David Russell Hall which was spacious and clean. I choose Agnes Blackadder as the location was better and I thought the accommodation would be similar. We had a family room for two adults and our teenage son. The room had two double beds that left little room. One bed prevented the door from opening properly....

Agnes Blackadder Hall is well located, within walking distances to all key locations in St Andrews. Rooms are small (as you would expect for student accommodation) but very clean, with ensuite facilities. There is 24 hour porter service for security and good wifi connection in all rooms. Finally, the price point is excellent. I can't think of a better all...

We stayed at Agnes Blackadder Hall for four nights in late July. What a pleasant surprise to find the facilities clean, tidy, well maintained and close to the downtown core and the Royal and Ancient golf course. (We arrived the day after the British Open and enjoyed much better weather than the golfers did!). We were truly impressed every day...

The location is perfect, 10 minute walk from the centre of tow. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfast was as good as any proper hotel and the wifi was excellent. We'd definitely stay again. The bed was a bit hard, the shower was sometimes cold and the room we had was as far away from the main door...

Great price for the nostalgia of staying at the dorms in university. It's exactly what you'd expect of you had ever lived in a dorm. Only exception was the interesting construction of the shower. Now the shower and the rest of the washroom were separated simply by a cheap shower curtain (expected if you ever lived in a dorm) and...

There is no getting away from the fact that that this is university accommodation but that is reflected in the price. It is a modern block set in well kept grounds and, although the rooms are quite small, they have all the facilities needed - comfortable bed, flat screen TV with full complement of freeview channels, en-suite shower room and...
