We stayed for two nights, originally we had the caddy room booked but we opted for the upgrade if it was available on check in. On arrival, the standard room upgrade was available for just the first night, we snapped it up as it had a sea view. The lovely gentleman at reception gave us the upgrade free of charge!...

We had Sunday Brunch on the 5th February. We were greeted by Karen our host for the day. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the Menu. The food was superb and the Market Table was impressive . Roast beef was the best ive had in awhile. Will definitely be back.

Sunday lunch at HDV St Andrews is hard to beat. Karen and her team are most welcoming and very attentive, and the mood is casual dining in modern surroundings. Luckily we had a window table with amazing views of the wild weather outside. We had mega tasty butternut squash soup, followed by the market table selection where the Chef walked us...

A really nice hotel in the middle of everything - overlooking the 18th of the Old Course, near nice little restaurants, walking distance to Abbey and University and lovely little whiskey lounge contained for the perfect nightcap. Rooms were recently renovated, comfortable and modern, nice amenities. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Kind of an odd check out procedure

Had 4 course Sunday brunch...excellent mushroom soup followed by a visit to the French market table where we helped ourselves to fresh prawns, mussels, olives, hot salmon, selection of salads, sauces and breads. Main course of sea bass with roasted vegetables. ..husband had the roast chicken, then finished off with complementary coffees, tarte tatin and profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce....

The hotel is in a great location. Rooms can be small and very, very warm. Drinks in the bar were unnecessarily expensive. It's a real pity the bar is tacked away at the back rather than taking advantage of the sea views.

Booked this hotel for one night for a great deal in their January sale. We paid an additional fee to upgrade to a Seaview room which had a fabulous view and was generously sized with a seating area and huge rain-forest shower in the bathroom. The communal areas of the hotel are lovely too. Our deal included dinner and service...

Small but well appointed room. Great reception staff. Alistair went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Our meal was however a disappointment. As we were celebrating we treated ourselves to chateaubriand. It was beautifully cooked but had a large piece of gristle running through it so we were unable to eat part of it. These things happen...

Really worth a visit and we will be back. Beautiful views, clean and modern. Well looked after from the moment we arrived, till the moment we left. The pre dinner cocktail in the conservatory, was excellent - spot on actually (high praise indeed). Karen in the dining room was efficient, friendly and kept everything moving along nicely. We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel so many good points, dinner menu excellent, as was breakfast, Sue who looked after us when having breakfast is a asset to the hotel, excellent customer service. Only one complaint, this hotel would have scored higher if we hadn't had to share the hotel with dogs!
