I took a trip to Glasgow and stayed in the Mercure Glasgow City Hotel, Ingram Street. I arrived quite late in the evening and was greeted by the Receptionist ‘Magda’ She was very helpful with booking me in which took just a few minute, told me about the Hotel with breakfast times etc. Fortunately for me the Restaurant was still...

If you're wanting an outstanding location right in the middle of the city - Mercure Glasgow is the hotel for you. But if you're thinking of ordering room service I'd pick somewhere else. On arrival I was met by very friendly and helpful reception staff. The room and bathroom were both clean and to a good standard. It had been...

Just back from another lunch in this city centre hotel. Surprised how quiet it was. I don't think people realise they do lunches. Really good value for soup and sandwich and the fact they do gluten free bread makes it ideal for anyone with celiac disease. The restaurant is lovely and if you're looking for somewhere relaxing to catch up...

First time staying in the Mercure and chose this hotel based on location. Not a great start to be put in room 101. The room was tiny and in need of a update. Won't be staying here again and won't be recommending to anyone.

I was not expecting anything fantastic as I already knew it was a three star hotel with small rooms and noisy environment. I stayed here for two weeks as my company had already paid. My room which was on the first floor was horrendous. It was constantly filled with cigarette smoke, heating was erratic and I constantly had to chase...

Hi Aisha A, Thanks for your review and sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. Having checked our reservations I couldn't find anyone who had stayed for 2 weeks on the first floor, I think you may have stayed for 2 days. Also I am not sure why your room would fill with cigarette smoke as this is a...

Well placed on city centre with easy access to Queen Street train station. Double room, on 7th floor, small with no drawers. Shower over bath was good. Two lifts, but only one working. And with 7 floors the wait for people on lower floors was substantial at breakfast time.

Hi LadyBalmoral, Thanks for the review and good to hear you enjoyed your stay. One of our lifts has had a mechanical fault with its motor and obviously for safety reasons it has been taken away to be inspected (the motor not the lift), my apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. Please come back and stay again soon. Kind...

Nothing special but it does the job. The bed is comfy enough, the rooms are alright for a quick overnighter and the hotel itself seems pretty standard. The staff are actually pretty nice considering it looks like a kind of boring place to be working but they did there best to offer a smile when they could. Like I said,...

Hi SmithySt, Thanks for your review, we are a 3 star hotel if that's what you mean by standard. The staff do a great job here and are generally complimented with great regularity, and hotels are never boring. Please come back and stay again soon. Kind Regards Dan

Visited on 23rd/24th Nov 2016 with a group of Mental Health friends. Very up-market look and feel to the place. Friendly and polite greetings/service from staff. Simply but tastefully decorated and had a fresh feel on arrival. Fairly easy to navigate round and lifts were quick and clean. Room - Compact, clean and well equipped. Noise at night - Very...

Don't stay here, room was tiny, the gap under the door to my room was so big it looked like Blackpool illuminations overnight. It took room service 3 attempts to bring the right condiments. On the first night I reported the mirror above the bathroom mirror wasn't working, was advised it would be fixed the next day - it wasn't....

Hi Sarah C, Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay with us. I understand your point about the gap under some of the doors, we are actually having them replaced at the moment. I think you mean the plug socket in the mirror rather than the mirror itself, we did have it tested when you reported it and it...

Ok hotel. Bedding very comfortable. Location convenient. Service good. Would be nice to have magnifying mirrors in bath. Doors were a bit undercut so they do nothing to block noise from comings and goings from adjacent rooms.
