Was so looking forward to my stay after the majority of good reviews on Tripadvisor but sadly was very disappointed. Firstly our room was above the bar where they have live music playing until midnight and this was only 4.30pm. I called reception and they said they would get it turned down which didn't happen and when I called a...

Dear Ruby53Scotland, Please accept my apologies for the noise coming from Waxy O'Connor's- this isn't something we get too many comments about, thank you for letting us know. I understand my team had offered to move you to a quieter room, a number of our rooms do look into a lightwell, they are however very quiet. Being in the heart...

A clean hotel with big rooms and very amicable service. Mini bar and executive lounge have free alcohol, but of course poor quality. And the bar next door is a bit loud and trashy for my taste. But all in all, beds comfy and WiFi worked although patchy. Its not amazing but it is fine

Thank you for the review, I was surprised to read that you felt the selection of complimentary drinks were poor quality- we use Bell's Whisky, Gordon's Gin and Smirnoff Vodka- good brands. Glad you were otherwise happy. Regards Duncan Johnston General Manager

Just returned from staying at the Carlton George, which is an ideal location to stay after a day shopping and enjoying a night out in one of Britain's best and vibrant cities. Ideally situated within steps of Queen Street station, shopping heaven - Buchanan Street (and Buchanan Galleries shopping mall), fabulous restaurants and bars. The hotel, sadly, needs to pull...

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Carlton George. We paid for the upgraded executive room with breakfast and we were very happy. The use of the executive lounge was very good with complimentary drinks. The complimentary minibar and the decanted spirits in the room was also appreciated. The room itself was large and had everything you would need...

Stayed in the Carlton George for 3 nights in January 2015. Excellent all round. Didn't try their restaurant so can't comment on that. Room - spacious and very comfortable, free bar - restocked daily, air conditioned, quiet rooms - no slamming of corridor doors! Strongly recommend to others and looking forward to staying there again.

Loved the old fashioned feel of this hotel. Welcoming fire in reception on a cold January night was a welcome sight. Room was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. Greeted by a receptionist that I couldn't understand....luckily my wife is Glaswegian and when asked her what he had said, she gave me a translation. We had an 'executive' room that must have been designed for very small executives. However, despite being cramped, it was comfortable enough once I had drunk the contents of the free mini bar. Guests can enjoy complimentary soft drinks, snacks and coffee throughout the day, and complimentary wine, beer and selected spirits each evening in the Executive Lounge located on the 7th floor. The lounge also features the Thomson Boardroom, ideal for meetings or private dining for up to 14 people.
