I was looking forward to staying in this hotel for a 2 night business trip to Glasgow. I was however disappointed with certain aspects of my stay. Firstly there is only one, quaint but antique lift which was broken throughout my stay. I was allocated a room on the top floor. Whilst a female member of staff offered to carry... More

Okay this place looks great on the website and the rooms really are as good as they look but the place is let down by a few small issues which could be easily fixed. However maybe worth asking about the noise levels, the luxury rooms at the rear of the hotel suffer from what seems to be a local hobby... More

Very nice hotel, great location, but when I arrived the lift was broken. They helped take my luggage upstairs but in my opinion they should have and alternative lift for emergency cases. This is something we never think about when booking hotels.

We stayed for one night in late November. It was a real disappointment. The lift wasn't working; the room had no place to hang clothes outside of an already full wardrobe; there was only one towel between 2 of us till we found the other towel in a pillow bag; the room's soundproofing was non-existent - street noise and noise... Lovely big rooms, with nespresso machine, nice towels, and very comfy beds. Check if the room tuck box is included in your room charge. We didn't check & found out at departure it was when we declared minibar use! Otherwise nice staff & great rooms.

Instead of going to Senior Week, my family and I decided to fly out of the country to a historic tri-city trip to the upper United Kingdom, the nation of Scotland. I'll admit the the motion picture, Braveheart, had a heavy influence on deciding here, but it turned out to be so much more than that. We stayed in three... More

I have just returned home having stayed at The Abode Glasgow, whilst on business. On arrival I was informed that the lift was out of action, I was given a room on the third floor. This meant having to carry a suitcase, rucksack and suit holder up several flights of stairs. I consider myself reasonably fit, but after several climbs... More

We booked the autumn deal which is great value. Comfortable room, delicious dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, staff very helpful and friendly, great location in Glasgow city centre. Would stay here again and recommend.

Got a really great Autumn deal on the Abode website which made this a great value for money one night stay in the heart of Glasgow. Room was compact (as described on website) but more than adequate for a short stay. Would recommend sizing up if staying longer. Food menu was not extensive but the food was perfectly fine. Staff... Great hotel, well placed in the city of Glasgow; very professional staff, very nice rooms, good food, an all round friendly environment. The building itself is of significant historical character, having once been the home of a former prime minister and an art house.
