Stayed for one night last Saturday and that was one night too much. We thought the place would be full of character but it really is an overpriced dump. The paint was pealing off the bedroom ceiling, the radiators did not function, the staff clearly were not giving a damn about offering any serious customer service and the breakfast was...

Thought I'd try this again for lunch after a not great experience previously. It has not improved. If anything, it's worse. Staff are very pleasant but the food was atrocious. Tuna and cheese ciabatta was as hard as a goat's horn and the accompanying tortilla chips were also stale. Friends got a club sandwich which was actualy a toastie and...

Great hotel in Glasgow near the City Centre. Excellent pub with good food on the ground floor. Rooms are cheap, but the location near the Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis is good and reasonably quiet. It isn't precisely in the city centre, but it's a cheap taxi ride or a 10 minute walk from there. Hotel has a lot of character,...

I stayed for one night. Great hospitality. The hotel is has 7 rooms and has loads of good old character. Impressed with the large room and bathroom. Staff have been very polite and welcoming. I had a meal in the bar. Not a massive menu but a plenty variety. Steak and ale pie was great. The choice of drinks was...

I needed to be close to Strathclyde University and this was about as close as you could get. (But very handy for town centre too - very easy just off M8 junction 15). Lovely wee pub and restaurant in the ground floor with friendly and efficient service from Lisa who did reception, bar and waitress all by herself so she...

We had a voucher for Sundays lunch was disappointed that it was served in the bar. Starters were brilliant, mains were mediocre, my Balmoral Chicken was dried up and tasteless, 4 green beans and not a whole roast potato 3 wee bits, hubby had steak pie said 5/10 puff pastry looked like bought in already shaped frozen. Think we shared...

Had a meal here as we had a voucher from a well known supermarket, first off the staff (one guy behind the bar) was top notch, great service from that guy, the food was average fare though. I had a burger and chips, was decent to be honest as far as burgers go (pretty hard to mess up that order...
