Wasn't sure what to expect, but having reached the 6th floor of this building (on decidedly dodgy Union Street) we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. A very friendly welcome on arrival. room was small but had everything you need for an overnight stay. Location is fantastic.

Great hotel, with friendly staff, centrally located offering nice modern decor. It feels like home and home made icecream and cakes as a bonus. Would definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Glasgow

What a delight this hotel was. It was clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was beautiful, quirky, charming. We got free cake, ice cream and wine on arrival! There are great views from the windows, the beds were comfy with lovely bedding. Easy to find. It's located right in the center of the city.... More

We stayed at Grasshoppers for two nights in November. It was an absolutely lovely stay. We arrived much earlier than we anticipated after a transatlantic flight and were very tired and groggy. No rooms were available when we arrived, but Diane and the rest of the Grasshoppers staff very kindly prepped a room for us ahead of the scheduled time.... More

The hotel is conveniently located right at the train station with shopping and dining / drinking facilities close by. It's just a short walk to merchant city for example. On check in we asked for a quiet room, as this was the first night with a sitter for our baby and we were looking forward to a full night of... More

This hotel is literally 6 floors above Glasgow Central Station, so couldn't be more convenient. Filling the 6th floor of an old building, it is clean, modern and trendy. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms spotless. There is SkyHD TV and even free cupcakes for you to help yourself. A really handy find for overnight trips to central Glasgow!

Just about perfect location for Glasgow, come out of the Union Street exit at Glasgow Central and it is a couple of metres away. I loved its very modern clean look and the little touches such as the free ice cream and cakes. Smarties and bottled water were in the room. The room was comfortable with a nice high ceiling.... This wonderful hotel on the top floor of Caledonian Buildings in Union Street overlooks the glazed roof of Glasgow Central Station which is the largest glazed roof in Europe. An amazing sight at night if you have one of the rooms looking down on the station. The rooms are minimalist but have comfy beds , a fantastic shower and are... More

In the hall, by the reception, there is a fridge with free ice cream to help yourself to, any time of day or night. Nothing else needs to be said does it? But then, further along there are fresh cupcakes, and freshly baked macaroons. This hotel is really part of Glasgow Central Station, although you have to go out of... More
