Clean, spacious & comfortable. Telly worked fine, internet was free, a bit slow sometimes but adequate. Good nights sleep & breakfast was fine. It is very hilly to walk up to from the river, but that was fine for me. Plenty of local amenities.

Where do I even start. By far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. We where greeted by a very miserable receptionist whos customer service skills rivaled that of a rock. When we eventually got to our room we where greeted again by an overwhelming smell of bleach and disinfectant, how I do not know because the room was...

this place is the meaning of "value for money", it was clean, spacious, comfortable and i enjoyed everything about it! the wifi connection is excellent also. Only thing I disliked was the heating! i found it to be quite cold at nights but luckily i brought my hot water bottle with me but i would reccomend to the hotel to...

If you are looking for value for money then the facilities offered here provide that. It's not flashy, it's basic and I found the staff helpful and pleasant. I would urge people to read what is available before booking. The rooms are adequate and comfortable, the bathrooms have everything you need but it's not 5*. You get wifi access to...

We found this place to be much better than expected. The room was large with very high ceilings, reminding us that this was probably a fine Victorian home back in the day. Comfortable beds, good bathroom facilities. Nice hearty breakfast that set us on our way. Best of all, it was within easy walking distance of Glasgow's downtown area and...

No bar No restaurant Wifi pitiful Breakfast warm and juice watered down. No parking. No good for disabled access. TV signal no good, only half the channels tune in. Staff friendly. Paid £85 pounds for single occupancy, awful value for money. Mixer shower did not work, did not discover this until morning, so had to wash in sink. Room decor...

I suppose you generally get what you pay for, and at £47 I guess I shouldnt really complain...much. On arrival we were allocated a room in the basement which at first glance looked good, large room with large bed and tea/coffee making facilities. On closer inspection however we noticed dirty cups on the tray and the bed had dubious "stains"...

Easy walking to town shops and restaurants. When we first got to our room we did have any towels. Not a big deal but when we requested some from the maid in the hallway she picked up a couple from the dirty laundry back, shook them off, folded them and handed them over! Not good. The feeling that the bed...

I booked this hotel just the day before I arrived based on price and location. The receptionist was very welcoming and sorted me out with parking vouchers for the on-street parking (no private car park) I booked a single room but received a twin room without en-suite. The bathroom was right next to the room though. The decor in the...

I recently spent two nights at the Victorian House, one of several guest houses on Renfrew Street in downtown Glasgow. Victorian House is very conveniently located near Sauchiehall Street, within walking distance of the subway, bus station and train station. I was looking for convenience, basic comfort, a degree of self-service and affordable cost rather than luxury, and indeed that's...
