I booked-in here for a few nights - comparatively inexpensive and in a good location for my business purpose. The ground floor rooms were undergoing renovation (there were apology notices on walls) but I had not expected the renovations in my room to be midway to completion! Nice big new digital TV, decent enough double bed, brand new bedroom furniture...

Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Great situation for the SECC and lot's of nice places to eat in the surrounding area.

Check your mattress, especially single mattresses. We found the most stained mattresses I have ever had the misfortune to come across. I wouldn't use it for a dog. Fire alarm hanging from ceiling. Marks of pictures previously hung on walls leaving ridiculous marks showing state of wall paint. Lights not working. Our radiator didn't work. Lock fell off bathroom door....

A basic triple room which was spacious. The bedding and towels were clean and changed daily and the beds comfy. The decor was tired and carpets worn but the size of the room made up for that. The location in the West End is ideal for restaurants, museum and university. Overall a good value for location and room size with...
