This was ok, but I wouldn't return. Our first impression was that the owner was rushed and a little annoyed that we'd arrived too early (10:30), with a long explanation about having to get the rooms cleaned after the last guests, after all! Okay, but emails had said any time after 10 a.m. was okay. We sat in the dining...

I am very sorry that you feel that you would not be able to return to our guest house and there was not one redeeming quality or positive thing to say about us at all :o( We do find that some guests do not read e-mails fully and on rare occasions there can be misunderstanding about getting into a room...

Very friendly warm welcome, comfortable but basic rooms, nice location and very well All the Rome seemed to be individually designed and the suites looked great with big baths and beds Cannot reccomend highly enough.

I love this place! I stayed here for one week while attending a conference at the SECC. I stayed in room 1 which looks over the park. It is lovely and quiet. The pictures on the website are accurate but I found the room and entire guest house even more inviting because of the high ceilings and wonderful decor. Steve...

I stayed here on a business trip to the university. I took a double without ensuite for just over 60 GBP The rooms are period and well decorated. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is a bit echoy as lots of bare wood floors. Some noise from the road but due to people forgetting their key rather traffic. Its in a generally...

Alamo Guest House is well located with helpful and pleasant owners. However, although it aspires to elegance it has a number of issues that need work. The room was large but had limited lighting so that reading in the two chairs was impossible. There was an inviting bathtub but not enough hot water. Breakfast was in a beautiful room but...

I stayed here for my first visit to Scotland and it was amazing! The place is very well cared for and my room was very comfortable. It had a teapot, soft down pillows a sink and tv with built-in dvd player. Shared bathroom and showers very well maintained and no problem with waiting. Very close to downtown Glasgow, about 15...

We were at Alamo (funny name - never asked its origin) and had intended for a standard room. But due to a clerical error, we were offered an incredible room (#12!) for a lower cost - simply to accommodate us. The floodlights around the very large tub didn't work that evening but we weren't fussed about it. We were pleased...

My husband and I recently stayed for one night at Alamo Guest House. We were so impressed with both the place and the people who run it that we actually discussed coming back to Glasgow just to stay there and explore the city. We booked only for one night because we were unable to make connections to get out to...
