A very good hotel for the price. The hotel has kept its character and therefore might a bit dated but if you are like us and enjoy bit of time travel into the past this is the place for you. The room was clean, tidy and warm and although it overlooked Gt. Western Road, the disturbance was minimal and in...

Friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful! From arranging reliable taxis, to recommending good places to visit. Room was at the top of the stairs, nice quiet, basic facilities, but nice and clean. Exactly what you need for one or a couple of nights. Very close to great restaurants and cafes. Parking available, a bit tight however manageable for all the...

Arrived in the evening and had a very friendly welcome. The bedroom was large, the beds comfy, Wifi worked okay, only the bathroom needed a bit of an upgrade. The noise in the pipes was somewhat very noisy when water was running. Breakfast was okay, parking was free, am glad that I had a small car, it is not easy...

Very Clean crisp sheets and comfy bed. Good location for West End and tube to city centre. Breakfast isn't great, I wouldn't even call it a continental breakfast. Shower was good but the plumbing is dated which is to be expected for such an old building but it was noisy. A decent enough place for a nights sleep.

We booked this Hotel as all the Hotels we contacted in Edinburgh, our real destination, were fully booked due to the Fringe. The manager was friendly enough and guided us to parking at the rear of the building. The car park is first come first served and its very cramped, you need to know what time the person parked behind...

Stayed for one night, and fortunately arrived at 4pm so we were able to check in straight away - thankfully didn't risk arriving early as we would have been ignored - like we were when trying to check out. Stayed one night, and while it is a beautiful building in a great location the decor and furniture need updating. The...
