Great rooms, spotlessly clean and well appointed, The Alfred is a perfect spot to stay in the west end. Great Western Road & Byres Road have such fabulous bars, restaurants and some truly amazing shops and just 10 minutes into the city centre on the subway. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we loved the deco decor. I only...

Stayed here with my girlfriend with a voucher deal I got online. The room was huge, it had everything we needed in it and I really liked the quirky style of the building as a whole. As there aren't loads of rooms I found the hotel nice and quiet. A continental breakfast was included which I thought was reasonable considering...

Stayed at the Alfred on Saturday 1st April. It's a beautiful hotel in excellent location. The service first class. We stayed in one of the attic rooms which was exceptionally clean and lovely decorated. The hotel had some beautiful , quirky pieces of furniture. The breakfast was served in a lovely dining room, with plenty of choice . Excellent value.

You have to be fit to stay here as it is on a hill. The hotel was nice as were the staff. I enjoyed my stay and the continental breakfast was good for the price. Would stay again. I liked the way it was like stepping back in time and it is so close to the west end shops it...

We stayed for three nights in this interesting hotel. Various young members of staff were on hand at different times to provide assistance. Room 7 on the second floor was very comfortable, the only criticism being the absence of secondary glazing which meant that the noise of the traffic on the main road was quite noisy at times. The continental...

Stayed here for two nights in October 2016, I chose this hotel as it is very handy for Oran Mor where I was going to a concert. I had a single room on the second floor with a separate private bathroom on the third floor, the only fault with the room was that the shower struggled to get warm (I...

Thank you for your comments, I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I understand you issue with the shower in the private bathroom and this is something we are looking into. Due to the Victorian style of the building we are looking at the best way to ensure this problem is not reoccurring though it seems to be...

We stayed here on Saturday night (10th December) and I have to say we were very dissapointed. As per a similar review we had a room in the rafters and it certainly isn't one of the rooms that had been photographed to advertise the hotel!!! The old wooden sash windows in the bedroom and bathroom were rotten to the core,...

I apologise that you were unhappy at the experience you had at our hotel. The décor in the third floor rooms is different from the first and second floors however we do have pictures of these rooms on the website, the channels we advertise through and in our 360 degree google tour of the hotel. Unfortunately you have not seen...
