The units at this resort are solid and well-furnished. Heating is very efficient and staff are efficient and helpful. Units are convenient for shops, restaurangts etc in Aviemore and for great walks in the area

Just spent a week with my husband and dog at Scandinavian Village and couldn’t fault it. Our apartment was very clean and well equipped. We were provided with everything you need: washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, dish cloth etc. The location is fantastic, within easy walking distance of all the shops and bars/restaurants. Beautiful walks right on the doorstep. Aviemore is a stunning part of the world and this is a great place to stay to explore the area.

Apartment was clean and well equipped. There was some traffic noise from the road but only noticeable in the day. Resort is in a super location, walkable down to the shops and restaurants of Aviemore. It is at the top of the Macdonald resort which has restaurants and facilities such as a cinema open to non-residents. Would definitely visit again

Be aware that currently there is no manned reception or staff on site. Should you need something a phone contact is given. That said the unit (2 bed end of terrace villa) had all we required. Sleep was disturbed by the quality of the bedding that certainly has seen better days. Duvet heavy and lumpy, pillows hard. Sheets and covers old but just about serviceable. Be aware all bedding and towels has to be placed in supplied bag before you leave. There is also a charge for electricity that you will be billed for after you leave. With no staff on site, you cannot query this should the need arise.

Good clean location to use as a base, but could do with updating. Unfortunately not many facilities on site for family entertainment. Nearest swimming pool,at the nearby hotel complex, is an expensive extra. Aviemore area has plenty other attractions to keep visitors busy during the summer months. Beware the electricity charges.

Great central location in Aviemore, especially with Aldis being right there. This was very handy as the fridge is tiny- under the counter fridge freezer style with the freezer being a good size. The balcony is small, if you can book a lower unit do as you get a lot more outside space. Laundry facilities on site for those in the flats. Good wee play park- great for a 3 year old. Love exploring all the trails around the resort. Liked that you do not need a car- having our bikes made it very easy to get about.

Had a very enjoyable stay here. It is in a quiet location off the main road and only a few minutes from shops and eateries. We were able to easily pick up keys from lockbox outside the apartment. Apartment was bright and had a lot of space. I booked a twin but was given a room with 4 beds which was an added bonus for space. All rooms were decent size and clean. Kitchen had all items you needed. We were also given toilet roll, fairy liquid, dish towels, towels and bed linen. Room looked out onto the forest at the back and was nice to sit on balcony. Hassle free stay, will return in the future.

We stayed in a 1 bed apartment as a couple but I would advise if more people it would be crowded space wise. Bedroom had double bed and a single which made bedroom a little cramped and open plan living room has a sofa bed. Amenities are perfect and the resort is extremely well Located. We would stay again as a couple.

Lovely villa in near immaculate condition. Fully furnished with everything that can be required for a 1 week stay Cost was £865 for a full week and we were charged £16.50 for utilities after we left. Location is excellent with all Aviemore facilities just a short walk away. Car park is a little bit tight but there was always a space available. Not Scandinavian villages fault but the 1 way road outside does mean a bit of a detour to get into it, depending on what direction you are arriving from. Would 100% use it again.
