Stayed here at weekend, great set up, rooms were spot on, nearly tripped over some shoes at 3 am when we were practicing Cossack dancing in the hall that some hillwalker mink left his in the hall so we airmailed them,! A great place to stay! Minty liked the bunk bed set up, Alan aka the kettle farm steamer chose...

stayed in a decent clean 6 person room whilst completing a long distance hike. there was no evening staff on duty and a group on men possibly a stag do were running about shouting ad being very disturbing until 0300am. this caused no one to get any sleep for a long journey ahead, and not the behavior expected at this...

Wanting to go over the Applecross mountain pass, I needed a place to stay. For hardly anything I was able to get a single room. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were very nice and helpful. Good access to kitchen, living room and other facilities.

I arrived in the evening just after six o'clock which meant that the reception was closed. I went over to the the Old Bridge Inn to find someone who could help me check-in. After check-in I went to my dorm and I immediately noticed 1) how cold it was, 2) that the shower smelled like urine and 3) that there...

2 night stay here with 10 others. Handy for Aviemore and the pub next door. 6 person bunk room with only one toilet and shower room was not found to be very practical. One room had a fan in the bathroom which stayed on ages, whilst in the other room the fan didn't work. Noise from the pub next door went...

No sitting room. Uncomfortable but adequate kitchen facilities. Fairly inexpensive. Apparently the noise issue is written in the terms and conditions so that's okay then, because we all read those thoroughly don't we? The noise was from every sector of the place- Clanking pipes next to our heads, very thin walls so lots of talking heard and paper thin floors...

Two nights spent at the Aviemore bunkhouse when we were on a stag weekend. Although I've stayed here before this is the first time I've been part of a group taking over the building which is a good idea. As usual the building is clean tidy and welcoming. Whether it's the whole building or just a room I'd defiantly recommend...

19£ for a 6 bed dorm, without a community room or breakfast. The kitchen is alright although uncomfortable. Next time I'd rather spend some more money and enjoy my stay in an atmosphere that doesn't confine you to either your bed or a wooden bench in the kitchen.

Very expensive for the facilities provided (or lack of). Uncomfortably beds and indifferent staff. Not good. Worst thing was the attitude of the staff which wasn't very nice. Also the showers were bad.

Spending a weekend in Aviemore from climbing and hiking in the Cairngorms was amazing but having this wee gem made the weekend complete. Very well priced, very clean and filled with everything you need to do your own cooking and lunch prep. The beds were comfortable and every thing you needed after a long day of hiking and climbing. There...
