It was nice and clean inside, everything we needed for a night. The menu wasn't varied as I couldn't find anything i liked. Otherwise it was fine. Staff were okay but a bit forward and offered us to sit in the dining room twice as though they wanted to hurry even though we had just been there for a minute... More

We landed later in the day but our hosts, whom have recently taken over, were accommodating. Our room was a good size and warm, the bed was so comfortable and the food was outstanding (we recommend the smoked platter and the poached chicken and haggis). Our hosts were friendly, a good laugh, informative and they helped us plan our trip... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights dinner, bed & breakfast. I would recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. Our room (number 8) was lovely, comfortable and clean. The menu was varied & all the food we tried was delicious. Even if you aren't staying here, it's worth visiting for an evening meal. The owners... More

Stayed here for one night in Oct 2016. Room was comfortable, with the bathroom being fantastic. Nothing flash but good bar food and breakfast. Close to John O Groats, Castle of Mey in walking distance. Ideal for exploring Dunnet Head or stop-off on way to Orkney.

The rooms are small but cosy. Bed and bedding very comfortable. Great shower. Food was really good - I had the steak pie - it was superb! The breakfast was really tasty , all really good quality food used. There isn't anything else nearby so once you get here , you are here for the night. The staff were really... More

We advised that we might arrive quite late, and the hosts were very accommodating! Our courtyard en-suite room was clean, warm and welcoming. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and we had a fabulous night's sleep. One of our group had a birthday, and the hosts went out of their way to help us organise a surprise cake presentation at breakfast!... More

Stayed here for one night during our North Coast 500 trip. Room was clean and bed comfy. Good value for money. Tasty breakfast with reasonable choices. Would stay here again. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the evening meals
