We stayed here on a Sunday night and were blown away by the period features and comfort. We stayed in a Executive room - the one on the website. It feels like one of the castles you go on tour in and one of the rooms you normally pear into but are not allowed to walk into. Feels like stepping...

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend. It exceeded expectations in every way. Friendly and efficient staff, good food - particularly wonderful breakfast and reasonably priced drinks. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with individual character and many have sea views. The setting is amazing and the many lounges with fires make for a very relaxing time with attentive staff...

We loved our stay in this beautiful castle. The staff were so friendly, and the service was excellent. Our room was Hempriggs, and was spacious and very comfortable, with a very large bathroom. We ate in the dining room both nights of our stay and again, friendly and excellent service and excellent food.

My Wife and I recently spent six days at this magnificent hotel for a Birthday treat. The service was excellent, nice reception when we arrived and as we came early and our room was being made ready we were taking into town by the manager so we could have a look around. The castle itself is amazing if you like...

My husband and I spent last weekend (2 nights) at Ackergill Tower for a corporate networking event. It is a beautiful property and we couldn’t find fault in anything. The bedroom that we stayed in (Princess Royal) gave that warm feeling of going back in time with all its historic details. The views of the sea from our bedroom windows...

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Had a lovely big room with fantastic views & each room is furnished in the period style. The hotel is really lovely & you can freely wander around the public rooms to look at old memorabilia etc. Breakfast was excellent. Hot food cooked to order with a large selection of fruit juice, fruit, yoghurts,ham,...

I'm not sure what to say other than that this place is just wonderful. OK, it's a little crafty, but then this is an authentic castle perched on a cliff adjacent to the North Sea. The bedrooms and public rooms are cosy and comfortable and the service friendly and welcoming. Dinner appeared a little 'warmed up', but breakfast was delicious

Ackergill Tower was the final stop on our 5 day NC500 trip and we are so happy we chose to stay here on our last day. When we arrived our luggage was taken to our room and we were given a quick tour of the main guest areas before being shown our room. The room was wonderful so cosy and...

For some reason, I totally forgot to review this at the time, but we stayed here for one night in August 2016 at the beginning of our North Coast 500 tour with Performance Portfolio. We couldn't believe our eyes as we drove up the drive - what a place!! The grounds, surrounding area and the Tower itself, simply stunning. We...
