Stayed here when we begun the NC500, rooms were nice and homely. Quite area with good parking, only 5/10 min walk to centre. Breakfast was 10/10 and great way to start the day. Friendly and welcoming host.

From Silverstrands Guesthouse you can walk downtown Inverness within 10 minutes meaning that all shops and interesting restaurants can be reached in less than 20 minutes. As parking a car downtown is quite challenge, this location is really appreciated. The room is comfortable but small. It is well organized with a big cupboard containing the fridge and in which you can easily store two pieces of luggage. The bathroom is reasonably sized. Kenny, our host, was very friendly and knowledgeable about what to do in Inverness and around. Buffet breakfast is proposed with a choice between two hot plates prepared by Kenny.

A lovely warm welcome from Kenny. Parking is by permit (supplied) outside the door on the very quiet street. We stayed for one night in Room 1. It's not en-suite but the private bathroom is just along the corridor. Everything is absolutely spotless and the room is very well equipped. Breakfast was ordered in the evening and delicious with a great choice of menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere with that personal welcome at a very reasonable price.

This is about a 15 minute walk to the city center. Parking on the street. Rooms are clean and quiet. Well appointed and comfortable. This is a very good option in town and I would recommend this if you are in the area.

HOST Kenny was an amazing host. Good conversation, good breakfast and he even accommodated an earlier meal for us when we were leaving at 8am. ROOM The rooms was a little small, but extremely clean and comfortable. We had a nice walk-out to the backyard, which was nice. LOCATION Short walk to the main strip. Would absolutely go back. Thanks Kenny.

We spent three nights in this guesthouse in july this year. The room was cold and it smelled of mold. Asking the owner (Kenny) about heating system he told me that his guesthouse apply rules for scottish farm and heating is available during the day from 16.00 to 22.00 (this information is not provided at booking). He told us that we can leave next day to find another place to stay if we don't like his place, charging only one night. With a busy schedule ahead we decided to give him a chance. After two days we had a 12 hour tour, return tired around 20.30 and find heating not working and room and the bathroom cold. That period in Inverness was cold, with temperatures bellow 10 Celsius during night. Because of cold that night we become fell ill. Next day, before breakfast, I asked Kenny if there are problems with heating system. It was to much for him. He said that he did his best and started to offend us. Also he said that if we don't leave his property in one hour, there will be consequences. He charged us even for the last breakfast although we don't ate it. We left without looking back. The good things in that guesthouse like decent breakfast, care for details, cleanliness in the breakfast area worth nothing when you have such a behavior. So, take care, don't upset Kenny ... " there will be consequences"

Unbelievable Cold!! During this guest stay there was an incredible heatwave going on in the uk and you want the heating on ! And we did put the heating on for you! Every other guest had there windows open And fans in operation So I find these comments strange to say the least May I suggest that you look at the Accomodation you require next time before you book a trip Your other comments don’t even warrant a reply

Best bed and breakfast on our vacation. The host is very kind, breakfast is good, room is nice and clean. The center of the city is a short walk away. Tried haggis for the first time, but there is many other breakfast options aswell. Had a difficult time getting a table at the local resturants, so i would recommend taking a look at resturant reservations when planning a trip to Inverness.

We stayed at the Silverstrands 2 nights while visiting Inverness. We were welcomed by our very friendly and nice host, showed where to park (street parking outside the house), taken to our rooms which were immaculate, super clean, fresh water was provided for the tea kettle and 2 bottles of still water for drinking. The en-suite was also very clean and a good size. The beds are very comfortable. The house is located in a quiet street very close to the center of Inverness therefore we were able to walk everywhere. The breakfast was plentiful with cooked options à la minute! 100 % recommended! Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality! We will be back!
