The welcome was fantastic, even with arriving late. The drinks selection was great as always. The porter and oatmeal stout in particular, the accommodation is in comfortable, clean and well cared for rooms. When we accidentally left the key in the room this was resolved quickly. The check in process was swift and easy and the check out process even more so. Everyone in our group loved the accommodation and I will look to return when I am back in the area for work.

I booked a double bunk room for myself and my teenage son as stopover to catch an early train from Inverness. I was very pleased with the whole experience, from dropping our bags early which the staff looked after until we were able to check in later in the day, prompt and efficient check in, and helpful and informative staff. The room was on the top floor so there were a couple of flights of stairs, no issue for us but worth noting if you have mobility issues. The room was very clean, small but well appointed for a bunk room, toilet, sink and shower facility, tea/coffee with a kettle, towels and hand soap. Beds were wooden and very stable so they didn't rock when moving around. The radiator worked well and the room was very warm (essential in Scotland), with a nice thick duvet. There was also not that much noise considering the city centre position. I also appreciated that they concentrated on sustainability. My (literal) only gripe was that the mattress was not brilliant (but not terrible) and the pillow that was provided was super flat. They did provide us with an extra pillow each on request but I still woke up with a neck ache. This sadly let down an otherwise excellent value, clean and tidy accommodation option. That being said, as we need a regular stop over for early trains, I would stay again but maybe ask for four pillows next time if they are still flat...

It’s hard to list any positives about staying at this accommodation, though it was at least clean. Check-in at the bar was tricky to navigate when the pub was completely busy, bed was uncomfortable and small, no TV, heated towel rack didn’t work, and their red bath towels left fluff everywhere. They do provide advance warning that the bar can be noisy, but their hotel guests seem like an afterthought given the rooms oversee a beer garden that doesn’t close until midnight. Bus tours from Inverness tend to start early, so this is a major drawback for tourists. A lot of small annoyances made a two-night stay a disappointing experience and a hassle. If you can, stay elsewhere.

Dropped in here. Great selection of independently and locally brewed beers. And pizza was great. Unfortunately we discovered this in our last night in Inverness. It could had become our local drinking haunt if we discovered it earlier.

I must admit the room was very clean…. Apart from that there is nothing to say which was good… the room was tiny, expensive and so hot that we had to go out for fresh air.. the mattress was horrendous.. never slept as it was like lying on a bed of rocks and the pillow was totally flat…. I’m 6’1 and my feet were sticking out the bottom of the bed. Certainly not the best experience being asked to leave the room at 10.30… by very rude staff…. I’m definitely not coming back..

Stayed here while we were on a 3-Day Isle of Skye trip. We lucked out and got a room facing the street. It was nice and quiet. The room itself was big and had basic amenities like a kettle, coffee/tea and a hairdryer. Please keep in mind that there is no elevator so if stairs are a problem, maybe ask for a lower floor. The room only had one electrical outlet so it was tricky to charge multiple devices. Having the bar downstairs is super handy! The beer and pizza were good. It’s nothing fancy, but would definitely recommend this place.

Very comfortable and clean rooms. Felt safe despite having the bar so close. If you get a room with a window to the patio they'll tell you it's noisy, but it really isn't, double glass windows are good enough to keep the noise levels low. I'd definitely come back. The one downside was that we shared our stay with a bunch of dudes who made ridiculous amount of noise throughout the night and we couldn't do anything about it, which is a shame.

This place has some good craft beers and some funky pizzas on the menu. The Scotch Ale was very good and I heard the pizzas are great although we didn’t try one. Good atmosphere. They have inside seating as well as a partially covered rooftop beer garden.

My single room was perfect: Small and simple but fresh, new looking, and clean. Very good price for Inverness. Great location. Kind of an offbeat place to stay, and I enjoyed that. The warm welcome at my almost-late check in was appreciated too. Thanks. Would stay there again.

The pub was quaint, friendly, and fabulous beers on tap! There’s a great, outdoor Secret Garden that has ample seatings, and private garden sheds for individual groups. The rooms are clean, and surprisingly quiet inspire of a downstairs pub.
